this should be the right forum for this.
i was wondering, aside from moderating, what goes on in the minds, and daily lives or our local moderators?
seems like something that i have become curious about.
though this is really focused towards the mods, anyone who feels they are considered community around here, could feel free to respond as well.

Moderators are just normal people who spend time trying to make sure the forums stay spam free and blacklist those who break the rules. I'd imagine they have an ordinairy life.

The Guide has a couple of interviews with moderators. You'll have to join to read them (they're on the forum, goodness knows why they couldn't be in a non-member-accessable resource) though.

Im trying to get them to put em in the resources.

And its not advertising as no one is TELLING you to join. And you dont have to stay. The Guide cares not about members. But they DO have quite a lot of interviews from various moderators.

And as someone else said, the mods are just normal people. You know so thinking about normal things, like booz and women.

'sif that was an ad. I was just too lazy to write something that I'd already outlined in an interview there. Why create when you can link?

Actually, I'm too cool to think about booze. And TGP, Toast and Yoozel are all far too young to be thinking about women! Shame on you for attempting to corrupt our youth! *stern look*

My mistake reiginator, but I could swear TGP said he had a girlfriend (despite my attempts to get in his pants) and Toast has got to have the hots for someone, I mean, him and his Daft Punk, whats there not to love?

As for Yoozel, well..

That's code for "I'm not cool, i need a woman before them." ;)

So yeah, some also have jobs. Perhaps Reiginko and some others would like to enlighten us on their non-bungie jobs? :)

I may join myself and see all that interview goodness.

I'm that guy American legislators seem to fear the most; the outsource-ee.

I work at a call centre that handles everything from sales through roadside assistance up to legal and medical advice hotlines... the day switches from dull to frantic with zero warning, and often more than once.

...if there were no drunkards, we today, would have no hobos...and the world would be a boring place.

Mods are normal people, just like you and me. Or are they?

"a life in the day"

Don't you mean a day in the life?
Sorry, I had to.

I read the news today oh, boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well I just had to laugh and
I saw the photograph

He blew his mind out in a car
He didn’t notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They’d seen his face before,
Nobody was really sure if he was from the house of lords.

I saw a film today oh, boy
The English army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
But I just had to look
Having read the book,
I’d love to turn you on...

Woke up, fell out of bed,
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup,
And looking up I noticed I was late.

Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke,
Somebody spoke and I went into a dream

Ah

I read the news today oh boy
Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all,
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.
I’d love to turn you on...

In regards as to whomever asked about my job… I work several actually. Aside from Moderator I’m a sorority house prep-chef and bus boy. I’m trying to start a small photography business and I’m often times assisting the bigger name photographers around my town on jobs and the like. I also write from time to time, free lance for here and there just trying to make ends meet where I can, though not always successfully.

As for the actual breakdown of my day… that’s a rather strange story.

The answer can still be Yoozel there.

By "badass" do you mean "anything cooler than reig's sucky job"?

Disclaimer: Reig's job rawks, i can only dream to have his job when i leave university.
