*DELETED*

What were these topics about, exactly? I'm sure one of the mods had a good reason for deletion. Perhaps it was moved?

-TGP-

Don't blame Bungie. It's us. Not them.

I had a recent thread entitled "Stealing Bungie's Thunder." It contained links to news stories about Halo 3 and I had written an analysis of the information speculating on when Bungie would announce Halo 3.

Also, Helljumper, the second option in the poll is "No." That sentence about wanna-be posts is vindictive sarcasm.

Yes! (shake fist at Bungie):  35%

No. I only post wanna-be mod threads.:  27%

I don't follow the rules anyway.:  5%

I can't see this poll, its already been deleted.:  32%

Seriously, what's with the malicious deletion of my topics? They're well written, on topic for the board they're in, and generally contain information that is, at the very least, interesting to the bungie.net community. I don't flame others, discuss politics, bump, or spll two meny wrds rong. So, please stop silencing the truth (i.e. my writing).

Is it like "Complain a day" week or something? All these threads about this kinda thing are getting old...

I have had just 1 thread deleted, some locked, some I kinda had a feeling might, it may happen, and on some thought I was following the rules, but a mod was quick to point out my mistake. See, the rules are extensive, and when its not your duty to uphold them you tend to miss a few and not notice them. So you may think its just fine, but its not.

And yea, B.net mods are not IN or FROM bungie. They live all around the world and volunteer for them. So blaming bungie for it is like blaming italy for a bad pizza from Pizza Hut.... ya know?

It started when HAL0 2 cam out. As for when it ends? Lets just say we are only on Tuesday of that same week.

Not having look at your post, here are some thoughts:

Some for your links may have been to copyrighted material.

Spam. You are repeating the same posts or posts that there are already other threads on that topic.

You are speculating but presenting it as facts. Or the facts you are presenting are based of lies and rumor.

They are just sick of it. They to do occassional purges when certain topics get out of hand.

I think more posts should be deleted for lack of content. Mods, if you go to a post and after reading it you think "Wow this post sucks" feel free to delete it.

Sighness

Indubidubly. Banana.

heh, this guy's pretty funny >_>. Ya know, there's a LOT of topics made every day. Ever consider checking the third page or so for it? I usually find topics I post in around there.

This happened to me just last night. I pmed Recon Number 54 about it to see if he could ask you mods about who deleted it WITHOUT TELLING ME or if he himself deleted. I have yet to get a response but I'm sure he is busy. What really frustrated me is that it was fine. It was a little satyrical questionaire thread. I posted it, saw it on the boards then went to another website for awhile. I came back about two minutes later and I couldn't find it. I checked ever single forum on b.net just incase I accidently put it in the wrong place. Couldn't find a thing. I looked back two pages on the flood and still couldn't find it. I know a moderator deleted and for as far as I know, no -blam!- reason at all.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

I have gotten one or two of my threads locked, but I haven't gotten any deleted.

Bungie.net explodes. Try it at home, kids*!

*Kids, don't try it at home.
-TGP-

I haven't made a thread outside of my groups in......... 2, maybe 3 months. I know that any thread I make isn't worth the time or effort. Yep. I suck at making threads. So I don't. Guess I'm making the mods job a little easier, since they don't have to lock or delete my non-existent threads. They should give me a cookie for my kindness.

....please?

Eh, I originally posted "Stealing Bungie's Thunder" in The Underground. As far as I can tell, the post is gone. I'm not mad or anything, I just want to know why it vanished. I had nice, clean named Links to other sites' (like IGN) articles about the Halo 3 release. As some people pointed out, the information contained on those sites wasn't 100% accurate so I thought maybe that was a reason for my post being killed. Anyway, no biggie, but if anyone runs into "Stealing Bungie's Thunder," please let me know where you found it. Its got a decent analysis of the Halo 3 announce date. Kill ya later.

The Underground is so flooded with Halo 3 threads, that yours may have been deleted merely becuase of the over-saturation of the topic. Or, it could have gone off the first page. The Underground is relatively active, after all.

Ach! Was ist los?

If your topic was deleted, it was most likely for two reasons:

First, every idiot and his dog have posted the same topic over and over.

Second, none of the information you posted was true. Rumor-mongers are on thin ice these days, and with good reason.

Last time I made a post on The Underground and you said it belonged in New Mombassa, so what did you do? You deleted it!

I don't remember doing anything wrong so why couldn't you just move it?

Nothing personal, bud. I only move topics that hold the promise of a new discussion that hasn't been hashed out seventy three times before. Which is why, if you post "Why Halo 2 is better than Halo 1" in the Underground, I'm going to delete it rather than move it. I thought that it'd be useful if we were given the chance to discuss this topic with Doom33, especially since he was laying blame at Bungie's door for something they didn't do.
