With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

7: Airplane!

<Laughs histerically>

... Well, at least it was better than The Fast and The Furious....

Just to let you know, my list (the first one in the thread) is subject to change, since I tend to forget about some movies when thinking of lists... But the first 5 are about right... I might take I, Robot out slot Two, though... Even though it kicked ass, perhaps some others in the list are a little better.

In no particular order =

* Memento
* Seven Samurai
* Strange Days
* Shawshank Redemption
* Clerks
* Requiem for a Dream
* Logan's Run
* A Beautiful Mind
* Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

That's only 9, right?? Well the last one - I don't particularly lilke the movie -- but for the few fortunate enough to go to the Audience Participation show at your seedier theatres --

The Rocky Horror Picture Show The Audience Participation is WAY fun... And it technically makes Rocky Horror the longest movie running IN theatres!!!!

I changed one due to Bad Karma making me break it out and watch it last night.

I think Kurosawa's (I'm not sure how to spell his name) Ran deserves an honorable mention...

I need to watch some more of his movies... Too bad I lack motivation to go watch them, though...

On another note, were the movies, Alien, Predator, and The Matrix based off of anything? Books, comics, previous movies? Or were they original creations?

I beleive that the matrix is based of of cyberpunk/rivethead fictions and one of Williams Gibson's book. I don't konw what inspired Predator or aliens but i know that the alien design/archeciture was devised by one artist that does bio-mechanical gothic like artwork.

1.) While reading Gibson's Neuromancer, I was reminded of The Matrix... I wouldn't be surprised if parts of the Movie were based off of some of the things in that book.

2.) I'd like to see some of thise artist's other work... the xenomorph concept is simply the best alien concept ever made. Got any links?

Speaking of bio-mechanical art, the genius that created many of the creature and structure concepts for the Panzer Dragoon series should be given a million dollars.... that stuff is amazing.
