If like Achronos said the lose of 30 or so members simultaneously is due to a cache error on the site then why is nothing showing up that anyone leaves in the Group History? Also how come it is only happening in my group? Conspiracy....

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

no not a conspiracy.

Accounts being deleted doesnt count from what i hear.

Only the paranoid will survive!

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're still on about your group though, give it a rest. It was explained.

Chapter Founders Bungie's Group Support
Mob of Angry Peasants

Accounts that haven't been signed on for over 90 days are deleted. They end up showing as the Anonymous User (Deleted) and are no longer members. IF they were in your group their posts will remain but their account will be deactvated and will no longer be in your group. So you will see your members drop.

I had experience the same thing with my group before I deleted it. I couldn't find out why people were leaving and the membership dropped till I relised all the deleted acounts in the forum archrives. Some of them were real active when the group started.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

If a user's account is deleted due to inactivity, then their deletion won't show up in your log, and neither will their removal. Oh, and the "member count" won't show an update that they left, and sometimes when people leave/join, the member count isn't updated properly. In all such cases, this is corrected during a process that runs every few days - which explains why your member count jumps around in chunks. Again, this is because a failure to update the member count is not considered critical enough to cancel the main action of adding/removing someone, as member counts are largely irrelevant for most purposes.

You need to stop focusing on the number of members in your group and start focusing on the quality of said group. Do that, and the members will come.

IT'S NOT ONLY HAPPENING IN YOUR GROUP.
