hmm, gonna have to agree/disagree with the space folding thing taking the power of a galaxy, sure it would take an enormous, spectacular amount of energy, unless we discovered a simpler way to accomplish it. things always get simpler as you understand them better, look at the efficiency of aircraft as an example, how they are never endingly becoming more aerodynamically efficient, letting them move through the air with less effort, they still work in the exact same way as old school wood and canvas bi-planes, they are just refined.
artificial gravity as well, i personally think its possible, hear me out. all forces have an opposing forces, look at magnetism for example, its so similar to gravity, they are both invisible forces that don't make simple sense, they can both be changed and quantified, magnetism can be created (electromagnets) some of which can be very very small yet very very potent, why can gravity not be the same? i think artificial gravity and anti-gravity will simply come through out ever increasing understanding of how the universe works, as soon as we actually understand how gravity works, i think manipulation/creation will come shortly after.
