Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

A member directory sounds like a challenge.

Yea, especially with 1,374,015 members on B.net, give or take some because of deletion of accounts.

Nice job on the Group Directory thing.

You realize that account #'s, just like group ID #'s, are NOT reused dont you?

Account Deletion wont affect the total accounts made #, but it will affect the amount of active accounts. Greatly. There have been TONS of deleted accounts...
Oh Yea! Forgot about that.

How long did it take?

A day and a half to download every group page, but that was automated so its not like I had to sit around and type in every url. A few hours planning and coding. Now that I have the code ready I can just compile and run and it makes the database for me. The hard part of updating the database would be redownloading the files.

It would be faster for me if they reused numbers. Since I have no way to know whether or not a number exists I still have to send off for the profile. Even if it is an error the time it costs me is the same. So if there are users spread out from 1 - 1000000 then I still have to download 1 million files and figure out which ones are errors.

Hmm, That group...oh whats its name, oh yea, Attack of the Gnomes thats posted in my sig, isn't on the list. Why isn't Attack of the Gnomes on the list. I would have though Attack of the Gnomes would be on the list, but Attack of the Gnomes isn't on the list. You know the group i've linked in my sig, the one group thats called Attack of the Gnomes.

Here is a listing of groups by alphabetical order

I could probably handle a member database if I had about 20 people who would run the downloads with me. Maybe later.

Please tell me what you think about it and if you have any suggestions on improvements I would like to hear them. It's a long file.

I'd like to be able to sort it by location (with "USA" and "United States" standarized.) That would be great. Once you get member count, motto, and location with a sort method and find feature it should be complete. It shouldn't take long.

Nice job BTW.
