I'm not bad, I'm Useless

I was thinking about buying this computer for some college work but would also like to know how well it would run Halo 2.

Can you give me a reason why it wouldn't work and a possible help me choose something that could run it better. I'm not wanting some gaming computer; just something that can surf the web and play Halo 2 vista.

Crappy GPU.
i really REALLY recommend building your own pc, it isnt complicated in the slightest its just hundred dollar lego

[url]www.newegg.com[/url] has some really nice stuff, for the price of that wallmart computer, you can get a computer thats about twice as powerfull as an xbox 360 if you make it yourself

and it really is as simple as lego, click stuff together and plug in the wires

edit: wonder why those url tags didnt work

That computer will not run H2V well if at all.

If you want to game I suggest you get a significantly more powerful computer.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

There are better computers you could get. And there are infinitely better games you could get too.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

For 300 bucks, that isn't bad, but you'd have to buy a dedicated video card, disable the onboard graphics at the BIOS level, and probably upgrade the CPU to dual core. Not worth it IMO.

edit: Looking at the minimum specs for H2v, that PC just barely meets them. It will run, but horribly.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Get something better. If you can't build your own, get a better brand like a $700-800 HP and upgrade the GPU.

Haha I dunno some guy in another post said he got it to run on a Intel 695. Wonder if he gets above 5fps.

Btw get something with at least 1gb of discrete memory and DX 11 so that you'll be able to run most new games at medium to high settings with decent frame rates.

"NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE integrated graphics"

best have a dedicated graphics solution

I'm sorry brother but a pre-built that can run games well is going to cost you at least $500. If you want lil decent gaming machine cheaper than that you're going to have to build it yourself.

It's even more for a laptop. Since almost all laptops are pre built, you have to get one with a decent gpu.

By the way, my friend once tried to play h2v on that same nvidia. It ran at like 15-20 fps. And CE lagged on that same card as well. Then as soon as he upgraded too a geforce 9500, a low end discrete card, h2v and many other games were suddenly playable.

I am currently using an ATI Radeon HD 3200 Integrated and everything works fine on medium settings, although that might be because of the help of my quad core.

I had the same setup but I got frame stutter on multiplayer when more than 8 people were in a game. Upgraded to a ATI 5770 and the stutter went away (well except on District).
