I just got Halo 1 for the PC and I've been playing with a Xbox 360 controller, I set all the buttons and triggers just like Bumper Jumper in Halo 3. The problem is eveything works find and dandy in campagin but in multiplayer it's like it has a mind of its own. I control only like 80% of it because it "fights" me. Its hard to explain not to mention every now and then it has me walk to the left even when I'm not touching anything. This makes it hard to play especially when making jumps on platforms. I'm forced to throw a sticky to get rockets on Chill Out. Anyone have any ideas whats causeing this?

P.S. I can't even use my mouse and keyboard now because when I use the mouse to look around it doesn't respond.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

I have had the same problem of my guy drifting to the side when I use the 360 controller for halo pc. I tried calibrating my controller in the control settings but it still drifts on its own. In the end, I managed to get used to the drifting but I would like to know if there is a solution to this problem.

BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Back in 2003/4 I used a Logitech controller with the analog sticks as the movement/look. It always worked great for me. (It was a PlayStation type controller)

I also used a wired 360 controller, which seemed to work fine for me as well.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I use a logitech mouse, and a cheap generic keyboard.

You walk by yourself because your controller sensitivity is too high, I had this problem too but then found a way to lower it in the menus somewhere. Lower it and it shouldn't react at the slightest touch.

Mine is the opposite of that, cheap Dell mouse and a logitech keyboard (because the mouse broke that came with it lol)

No thats not what I mean. After I move the stick to move it continues moving even if I don't touch the controller.
