Only the paranoid will survive!

Well this is a weird idea, and I'm not sure how well it would work, but I think it would help a ton. On the listings of all the forums, rather then putting-

The Underground
Bungie General and oldschool games...

it could say this-

Bungie general and oldschool games
(The Underground)

That way people would read the descriptions first. Mabye even have an icon or button next to it and have it look like this

Bungie General and Oldschool Games

You get thr point. Make the description stand out, have the name be secondary.

I think it is fine now. If you don't know what a specific forum is then it says it beneath the name. Oh and for all the people who are too lazy to look beneath the name, then the moderators will move the topics.

Bungie.net explodes. Try it at home, kids*!

Thats kind of a good idea. There MIGHT just be less topics posted in the wrong forums if people were actually forced to read the description. Which I'm sure the mods would appreciate.

I don't think that people posting the wrong topics in The Underground is a problem with reading descriptions as much as it is just reading the stickies. Afterall, it doesn't really tell you it's not a Halo board until you get in there. How many people read the stickies? Not enough.

It doesn't need to by just the Underground. Do it for all of them. I think it will be needed once Halo 3 comes around with the influx of new members, but I amy be wrong. I thought it was a halfway decent idea though.

It is a good idea, but it won't really help out The Underground much, which seems to be one of the forums that suffers the most from misplaced topics.

I was only usig the underground as an example because I had it open in another tab, so I could link it quick.

I think this is a good idea, because it would help stop topics being posted in the wrong forum.

I'm not new, I've had an acount since 12/31/2004 but I made this one to match my new gamertag. Were you refering to the person who posted about being 52 and making a group for older gamers?

The only problem is that people take Bungie General to mean that they can post anything they want about Bungie games in The Underground. If it was only meant for Bungie Oldschool...

Pimp, your idea could work. It wouldn't be a dramatic change in off-topic posts, but it would help a little bit. Maybe there is a way to expand the idea so that it does make a dramatic change. That requires thinking though, and not to many of us are good at that :)
