Well I have XBL and I need to know if it will work. This is my information I have to offer.
We have 4 computers connected with a router, When we first bought our PC's they had 56k's. But now our ICS is DSL. We have a DSL modem router and everything. So I don't know if my computer's connection speed is higher than 56k now. The ports are all full on the router so I will have to unplug the PC next to my Xbox.
Will XBL work?
And if I need to upgrade the connection speed, which computer do I upgrade it on? I am clueless when it comes to this stuff.

If you have DSL and you are running it through the router all your computers should share the DSL connection. All you would have to do is unplug one computer and plug in your xbox. i fail to see your problem. if you already have DSL and a XBL account why not just try it and see what happens?

I'm gonna but when we bought our computers they each had 56k modems. Now we pay for DSL every month. Did our ICS get upgraded when we got DSL?

When you got your DSL they sent you a modem correct? Than you plugged that modem into the back of your router. With me so far? Now you ran a cord from the back of your router to each of your computers plugging it into the ethernet port. Now all your computers share the same high speed DSL connection through the router. You don't use the modems in the computers for anything anymore (or at least your shouldn't).

I get what your saying and yes that's exactly how our computers are set up. But what I want to know is did our ICS's get upgraded to a higher thing than 56k?

If you have DSL it should be quite a bit faster. It depends on your provider and what plan your purchased. My DSL runs at about 1.5mpbs down and 256k up

Go HERE and test the speed of your connection if you want to see what you are actually running at.
