I can't seem to change my avatar. Every time I try to, it just doesnt change. I select a new avatar, save it or modify it, I cant remember which button it is, and I always get stuck with the default avatar. Can anyone help?

I cant find it either. I used to have that box checked when my gamertag was linked, but I've been having mucho problems with that as well. Any more suggestions?

Hmm if your gamertag is still linked it should work. Try waiting for cash to catch up as your avatar may not change instantly.

Login in to xbox.com with the same passport you use for bungie.net and relink your account. That should fix it.

It wont let me log into Xbox on my passport. I'm only 17, and I guess you have to be 18. What is up with that?

You have to be at least 18 to have a Gamertag, and your Xbox.com account is also a Gamertag.

For some reason, Xbox.com thought that I was born in 1899, even though my Passport has my correct date of birth.

Ah, well the must be 18 for a GT rule is obviously not enforced too well. But Im curious now, does anyone know why this rule exists? Most games that are online capable are heavily played by a younger population, but if they arent even supposed to have LIVE, then whats the point?

Technially, it should belong to the parents/guardian that signed them into live. So it's not their gamertag.

Why cant it be my GT? If I went to the store and purchase a 12-month subscription to Xbox Live why isnt it mine?

My guess is that it's a throwback to when you needed to have a credit card for Live. But you agreed to this when you agreed to the T&Cs:

You represent that you are at least 18 years old, and all information that you submit is correct.

Though this has nothing to do with the topic, of course ;-)

Like I said, this is getting off-topic.

Perhaps you should take your worries to Xbox support?

Good point, god point to gods prophet as well. It makes no sense though, you have to be at least 13 to play XBL, but you need to be 18 for a gamertag, that makes no sense.

And I'm locking this, since it's not going to get back on topic. If you want to discuss Xbox Live policies then take it to The Flood. Better yet, take it to Xbox themselves.
