My dad has a new Gateway Desktop, Pentium IV, 512 MB hard drive, 17" monitor, brand new graphic cards and sound cards. Can anyone tell me if Halo PC will work on this PC? I need your input. Thanks. I'll try to get more information to help you out as well. Thanks again.

bah

fastmatt... you know better. Brand new graphics and sound cards could mean anything. Hell, my crappy 64 meg integrated sound card was new once, but it sure as hell sucks for Halo PC. And there's no way you have a 512 MB hard drive. You mean RAM. And that's not enough RAM either. Unless it's DDR, you'll absolutely need more.

Come on Rip Saw, its not like Halo's textures are huge or anything. 512mb of RAM is perfect (it is virtually impossible to get anything but DDR (or mabye RAMBUS) in new comps because it pretty much costs the same as SDRAM). If your gonna be playing more games like Doom3, and if you have a bit of money for upgrading, I would definitly get another 512, cause 1gig does wonders :) To find out what your video card is, right-click on your desktop, go to the settings tab, and see what video card is selected in the first pull down tab that says "Display".

Halo is more than 512 mb, and your operating system probably takes up more of that....

Give us some specs:

Processor (and speed)
RAM
Video Card
Operation System
Hard Drive

Is there a reason to say it to this guy twice? Rip Saw already told him that its impossible for him to have a hard drive like that. Likewise, anybody who doesnt realize he is talking about RAM..... *grjhsjhrahruhasrl SHAKES FIST AT AERO* lol

512 MB Hard Drive? Really, your OS will take up about 700 megs, and Halo itself is 1.41 GB. You might be able to fit Windows 3.1 on there, but other than that, you aren't getting jack **** on there.
