halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

Definition of what is classified as being a noob varies between people. In my case, I view a noob as someone who runs around and uses the plasma pistol and battle rifle combo to get their kills.

Try this site, http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=noob. It might help you get a better understanding of what is a noob.

Rofl, that's a good read. 'Noob', a word that the more you use it, the more it applies to you. That's a good one.

I agree that newb and n00b have different meanings.

Halo 2 for Life!

The word in your title isn't a friendly word, therefore this thread will most likely be locked...

I've heard it explained, a player who is very bad at the game and refuses to improve. but everyone has a different definition it seems. we need to agree upon one and call it the actual definition.

but i have been called a noob on Halo PC because of my gamer name which was Chief at the time, it was a long time ago.

Ha ha. Thanks, old buddy. Since we're all ridiculous H-2 fans here and respectfully thinking about H-2 as we phrase our ideas (ahem), how's Reach doing for you ? Can you see potential glitches, or do you somehow find them through repetition ? Give us average guys an inside nod, if you possibly could. Would be awesome.

Real life is interfering with gaming so I personaly know nothing of Reach.

On HIH Reach seems to be going like H3 did; great for glitching at first but trailing off after several months. At this point most of the tricks and glitches have run their course. Meanwhile H2 went for 5 years with new discoveries and it's only been this last year that tricking H2 has almost dried up. However, just yesterday a friend of mine figured out how to give Johnson perma-cammo on Cairo.

Am trying to think of a point where you see him on the Cairo besides the initial walkthrough and few seconds before you separate for the spacewalk stuff...can't. So which part is it ?

Ok, here's how you do it:

Get Envy (duh)
Get Assassins
After the first fight, get Johnson over by the turret (by the stairs)
Knock him up the stairs
When he's on the upper landing (before you go through the doorway), go back and kill two Marines
Sarge will cloak now because of Assassins and you turned him into an enemy (all Marines cloak)
Knock Sarge through the doorway while he's cloaked and get a checkpoint
Quit and Save, turn box off and on
Resume level and Sarge is permanently cloaked

Heh, after all this time a guy named LDG figured that out. Then he whacked Sarge all the way to the end.
