Geez why does everyone hate this idea? It would be awesome. It would NOT suck. Give me one good reason as to why it would suck.
Everyone loves Halo: CE and I think it would bring back a ton of good memories, but with ten-fold the graphics. Nothing changed but the graphics, AI, and animations. Voices stay the same, story doesn't change one bit, campaign stays accurate.
Ever since I beat Reach and saw Captain Keyes and the Pillar of Autumn with amazing graphics, I just wanted to play Halo: CE while looking that amazing!

Pretty simple.

Some of us actually like the graphics, the AI, and the animations. Personally, I consider it the best of the series in at least two of those categories (the "animation" part is a given, anyway. Smooth and beautiful, not choppy).

As for it bringing back a ton of memories... yeah, that's what my two Combat Evolved discs are for. I don't need a third.



And to be brutally honest, I wasn't impressed with how reach handled the PoA and Keyes. Keyes not only looked odd but also looked nothing like Keyes, and the Pillar of Autumn had this overcomplicated back-heavy look to it that would never work with HCE's cinematography.

Ugh fine.
They could at least add Xbox Live support and make it support crisp and clear resolutions like 1080p that is super clear with no blur.

Everything would be different. Handling, physics, enemy AI, vehicles, Flood, and of course they'd be inclined to add another dozen useless weapons.

Bungie shat on everything with Reach. Completely rendered the books useless.

If it's remade I want it to be EXACTLY the same, only thing changed are
-HD/better graphics
-ragdoll physics
-online multiplayer
-achievments

Heck, I dont want them to add hitboxes or lunges either, takes more skill anyway..

In case you did not know, when the Pillar of Autumn takes off at the end of Reach, it's got the exact heading to Halo. The time between the end of Reach and the beginning of Halo 1 was within days (I'm a bit fuzzy on the exact amount of time).

Lol, yes.

And a recreation of CE, with Reach engine, MM, and aheivements? Sounds like the best thing I've heard in a long time! I mean why not re-create the game that not only spawned one of the most amazing game series of all time, but revolutionized the FPS.

All it needs is some improvements:

-make Zealots always charge at marines and Master Chief
-remove glow from stealth Elite's energy sword
-fix plasma rifle wielding Zealot's melee (optional)
-remove the "pistol shot to the back of a Hunter = instant kill" thing (optional)
-use Halo 3's collision and physics instead of Halo CE's collision and physics (that means less splatter betrayal)
-give the Wraith a secondary weapon (plasma bolt) by giving it a weapon similar to the Banshee gun (which has two weapons in one), make it drivable by Master Chief and marines, and give it a new reticle
-replace Halo CE's active camo with Halo 3's.
-make friendly AI prefer fighting from mid to long range instead of close range (hopefully, they will live longer).

And these they should leave alone:

-weapons (i.e. energy sword detonation)
-vehicles (i.e. movement speed)
-enemy AI
-friendly AI should NEVER be allowed to drive the Warthog. They should be limited to Ghosts and Wraiths.

It was just a suggestion.

And yes, I'm aware that the Halo CE vehicle physics were fun... sometimes. Getting splattered by a Ghost when I'm playing on Legendary and trying to get something done is not fun.
