Subject: Finally got my hands on a copy of Halo 3 ODST!

Now I've never really been a big fan of the Halo series, but once I tried Halo: Reach at a friends house I was hooked! I had to buy myself a copy. Before that I did play some Halo 3, mostly the campaign (I liked playing the Campaign more, the ranking in Halo 3 was confusing.) but Halo 3 wasn't able to really hook me to become obsessed as I have now.

So after having my mind blown by Reach's Campaign and Matchmaking I had to find out what happened in the other Halo games as well. I didn't want to buy the older ones (Halo: CE and Two) so I thought of getting ODST for the longest time.

Now Fedex should be getting here by 3pm with my ODST copy and my new Turtle Beach Ear Force PX21 Headset!

Halo: Reach has turned me from an active athlete to a COMPLETE nerd! But at least I'm having fun...

But it looks like I'll have to give Reach a short break to play ODST's campaign and get the achievements for it.

If anyone would like to join me in playing ODST or Reach, feel free to add me.

If you like Ghost Recon and Gears, you will LOVE ODST's story.

chronologically, ODST is after Reach, it goes

Wars
Reach
1
2
ODST
3

I can pretty much play any time, but I prefer coop. Can play on legendary if you want.

So I just beat the game, didn't take too long, a couple of hours.

I can say I wasn't Too blown away, there were some moments where I thought "cool" and some moments where I wanted to see something dramatic happen.

I didn't really like The Rookie, he didn't really have a personality. Buck is a much better character in my opinion.

I think the best part of the game was when that Brute struck Romeo with the gravity hammer and the ODST's killed it. The stabbing was intense, I wish they had more scenes like that.

But all in all, I DID enjoy the game. I would play it more often, but if I do I wouldn't be very good at Reach because the controllers and the game play are different...Very different.

When tossing a grenade in H3 ODST I can definitely see a difference. The ODST throws it much farther than a Spartan in Reach...

There was something else that I didn't like about the game...It was really dark, the scenery was usually pitch black for me with little blinding lights that hurt my eyes when I looked at them. I had to play with my night vision (or I think the game calls it the "visor" ?) which made the bright things, brighter.

Even though I had my brightness on the "higher" level, everything was still very dark. But the thought of playing an ODST was really fun.

Fair, fair. I enjoyed ODST a lot. I liked the music very much and I liked the moments when you were the Rookie in the dark city. The whole quiet atmosphere of it just intrigued me. To be honest, I think the Rookie is one of the best characters, I mean he is by far no Master Chief, but he's a normal human. Perhaps that's what I like about him, he's not some superhuman, kill everything in sight kind of guy. He's just a soldier.

Any supporting arguments to back that extreme claim?

Doesn't need to argue his opinion because it's just that: an opinion.

Reach's campaign did suck, but Halo 3 didn't have the best campaign. Personally, I give that to Halo 2 or ODST (I'm sure Halo CE had a great campaign, I just never played it).

I honestly have to say that the greatest campaign is with Halo CE my god it was great with the Sci-Fi Genre then switching to the storyline that was more dark when the flood came out.

The second greatest storyline was Halo ODST... Halo Reach was good but definetly let me down...I expected way more over the summer as they shown the clips...I was dying to see the Covenant up close and personal...

Carter's death was SOOOOO stupid it's not even funny. And All I have to say is that they let me down. We don't even know what happened to Jun..

I have to say I wanted to see a lot of knife use and spartans fighting to the end I thought it would have been more- IN YOUR FACE- Deaths...Like beyond human deaths, Reaches campaign was the worst of the series...

True.

ODST probably has the best OST out of all the Halo games. In my opinion, it does. I'm downloading the entire OST right now.
