Like most of the video gaming community i have been de-sensitized to violence to the point of no return and am proud of it.
With the M rating that halo recieved and the same M rating Halo 2 will recieve, I think Bungie should really go all out on the blood and gore. "if your going to get wet, you might as well go swimming"
For example, I for one have always wished that you could grab a shotgun, whirl around the corner in a Blood Gulch base and blow the head off of the nearby enemy waiting for you.
It would also be nice to see wound effects (place damage) like a gunshot wound in an elites skull or a dead marine clearly riveted by assault rifle rounds.or blood splashing up onto the chiefs armor, or the flag, in multiplayer.
and for all you snipers out there, it would be nice to blow at least part of someones face off with a headshot. (don't tell me that the power in the sniper isn't enough to tear someones face off).
Now for some reason, alot of you will disagree with me.... i'm not sure why but it's like it's your job.
so here's a second proposition, once you get a killtacular your shots have the ability to tear limbs and heads off. now tell me that wouldn't be awesome.you wouldn't be more powerful in any way it would just have diferent death animations for your foes.
please don't get me wrong i don't want a quake or anything going on here. I really hate seeing a pistol shot to a dead quake body make it explode as if each player in quake comes with c4 attached to their mid section. I believe with the lighting engine and enhanced graphics, Bungie could really make it look good, where others have failed, they will triumph.
