It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

ok thx for clearing it up.

I was confuysed because there are alot of Snowmen on bungie.

So ok, as tradition dictates, i'm making this thread as it is my yearly b.net birthday (though this is nothing to brag about to so of my old skool companions. However, unlike some others, i'm going to simply thank some people that have made this place worth staying around in.

So first and foremost i'd like to thank Achronos and the entire online team for making this place great and for some cool new features and really for maintaining it. Next up is the IRC "gang" sorry, that should be "mob" ;) Thanks to al...most of you for being so great even if it did involve a few insults for Psyched's general direction. I'd like to thank every one i know here and to thank all the people who i know have been working hard for the community and the entire 7th Column. I'd also like to thank the theme masters and AGDTinMan for giving me feedback on my themes and some great suggestions. I'd like to congratulate the cayote cavegirls for proving that girls do exist and we don't have to solely rely on Frankie in his "evening gowns". I'd like to congratulate some chapters on their success such as: Chapter Founders, MBT, Body Politic, Xbox 360, The Marty Army, and blah blah blah etc etc. I could go on but my fingers hurt now and i just got home. So thank you to the majority of the bungie.net community and thank you to the Bungie team for giving us some stuff to talk about.

It's been a fun ride. I hope you stay through several more forum catastrophes, theory extravaganzas, and most importantly, Bungie games.

Ditto, congrats GP.

How silly am I to forget my own B.net birthday... :(

Silly must be pretty common, because I forgot to announce mine. It was 3 days ago...

I'm just going to "forget" mine. I'll have 19 days to think up a preposterous excuse to use.

Be sure to stick around everyone, no telling what the future holds. Besides, surprises are what makes life worth living.

I wonder if this place will still be around come my ten-year anniversary in 2012. Next year is my ten-year anniversary with Hotmail. It should be a nice walk down memory lane to read through the email archive, though it feels odd having been with an email service for just under half of my entire life...

Good times. It's amazing that no matter how bloated and overblown this site and the community gets, there is still a tight group of core fans that sticks around. It has been a nice run.

I want to celebrate my b-net birthday too, but I can't remember when I joined...
