Okay, I've jumped into something big here, and I'm a little lost. I got the PC version not but 5 days ago, beat it on Heroic, but now i'm a little confused about the community and eggs and all.

1st, Is there anyway to do the ".fortune" profile thing on the PC version? it won't let me start with a period.

2nd, What are Spartans? Just some sort of clan? But I saw a reference to them on this site, so I have to wonder.....

Thanks guys

Also, what's this halo CE and HEK thing? I've read a few explinations, but I'm still confused.

OK, ur asking alot of questions. #1. The Spartans are what you are. I will not spoil the book for you (there are book you know, a prequel, the book based on the game, and the sequal/prequal to Halo 2). #2. I dont know about the fortune thing. About this website, Bungie's overall long term goals are world domination. While they are at it, they are churnng out kick ass games to take peopple under thier wing. Bungie.nt is about community, especailly the forums. Everything and anything about Bungie or any of their games may be discussed. You can also join chapters (they are like clans) and many other things. there are weekly updates about Halo 2 brought to you by frankie. Oh yah, beware of the flaming ninjas'. Other than that your good to go. Just enjoy yourself while your here.

Halo HEK is the editing kit for halo to make new levels and weapons etc. to be able to mod halo. You need Halo CE ( a download from www.gearboxsoftware.com) in order to use it.

For starters, beating Halo Heroic in 5 days isn't bad. It took me 7 days, and 2 weeks to beat it on Legendary. Maybe there's a better term for you, but try your luck online before you confirm that.

First: Congrats on the fast-beating!
Second: I really don't know about the PC version, tons of fun on the XBox though.
Third: The cyborg-race engineered by humans, who Master Chief is one of, is known as the 'Spartans'. It's kind of ironic name-choosing, considering the spartan slaves and warlike societies of the Greek times... Ah, history. Gotta love it!
