Alright so one of my friends and I have been having this debate since Halo 3. Which armor color looks more like the canon MJOLNIR Armor's color. Sage or Olive. I've personally said Olive this entire time and I use Olive on my Spartan in Reach(It looks almost perfect in my opinion), but I just downloaded the Armor Vanity and Sage looks a lot more accurate here. Sage looks like Olive does in gameplay. So I'm wondering what you guys think.

I know in 3 Olive was Mjolnir green but in Reach Jorge's armour was Sage. I would still say Olive for Mjolnir green though.

Yeah, when I'm in the Armory Olive looks perfect, but in the Vanity Sage looks perfect.

Inside another dead body. It's the last place they'll look
A corpse within a corpse.
CORPSEPTION.
Win.

I just finished the SWORD base level with Sage armour - in the closing cutscene, as the Corvette is sinking, the amount of light on 6's armour is perfect, and Sage looks like an exact colour match in that much light, IMO.

Don't forget, lighting in the Armoury is ludicrously dark.

I'd say Sage even though they sometimes say Olive. Sage is just better looking.

As a philosophy major, I give you +1 on your use of a counter-argument; Socrates would approve.

Olive does look a bit bright in-game. There's just one thing I keep getting a little bit annoyed at.

The sage color for your own armor isn't the same green as Jorge and the human vehicles/Spartan Laser has. Was going for something cammo-looking and wanted it to look as if it belonged with the rest of the UNSC forces but you can't have the exact same green as Jorge/Vehicles/Marines. It's just a minor variance though.

EDIT: Tips on a good secondary color to match the sage if you don't want your secondary to be sage or steel?

I think the Mk V was a shade darker than the VI we know and love from 2 and 3, if that helps any.

in halo 2 it was olive

Its olive after Marines olive drab uniforms.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

According to the books, it's an olive, and the color fades over time. Johns original prototype MJOLNIR armor went from being olive green to almost a yellow in The Fall of Reach. I'm not sure if that carries over to post proto-type MJOLNIR but if we are to assume that it does, then sage would simply be the color of a less battle-worn suit of MJOLNIR.

Yes, I'm a furry. And yes, I like men. So what?

It's drab olive - standard issue.

According to Halo: the Fall of Reach the armour is a "ghostly iridescent green". In other words, it changes according to the lighting.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I think it's sage.
