i've had halo for my pc for about 2 munths, and one day i went to my girl freinds house (who has an x-box) and relised that it had mor detail in it the grass was more than jut a flat textur, it aculy looked like grass. the plasma riffle was shinny and had fansy lights. i uped the setings as high as they would go and it still dident look as good. so the question is didmicrosoft and bungie down the graphics for halo pc or is my computer just funnky.
my commputers only a year old by the way.

i'll put in 2 picturs to commpar later.

Did Microsoft and Bungie lessen the graphics for Halo PC?

No, with all settings on it is actually the same, but you can crank the rez higher on the computer. Its most likely your video card. What is your video card?

(If you don't know right-click on your desktop, go to properties, then the settings tab, and whatever it will tell you under display)

The XBOX is only a gaming console, hence equipped with a great graphics card - and with all of its available power devoted to running the games with those graphics. PCs have lots of functions, and you'll require a good card and very powerful PC to get the same graphics as on XBOX.

here’s a link to a web site that has some info on my computer. It has Nvidia's leading graphics card, I’ve been thinking of getting a new graphics card anyways seeing as it cant run doom 3 very well.

any suggestions on what kind of card I should get? It needs to be able to run halo and doom 3 as best as possible while still being cheap.

Don't believe everything you hear.

You have a GeForce 440 MX. I had that card a while ago. With that card the textures look horrid, and you can't turn any of the special features on. Then I bought a 9800 aiw Pro, a very nice card.
