I aaaaaaaaaaaaaaam the best.

I recently bought Halo 2 specifically designed for the Vista. While my computer meets and exceeds all the minimum requirements by far, the game is still unbearbly laggy. I have all the graphics settings turned all the way down and still it is impossible to play with the amount of lag I am experiencing. This is just for the campaign, not online. Any ways I can fix this?

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Campaign being laggy is common with halo 2 vista. Also running it on Windows 7 instead may help.

I do find the multiplayer very much worse off than Halo CE for the PC however in terms of game play it isn't much different you still will have to aggressively lead and follow your shots.

Also something designed for such a flawed operating system will most likely be flawed.

I see. Thank you for your explanation.

I had a completely different experience with halo 2 vista actually. I've had a lot less problems with 2 than 1. The shot leading was not as crazy as it was in 1 for me, not even close. But then again the campaign runs smooth for me so OP's experience might be closer to yours from the sounds of things.

I find it strange to hear so many people having issues with the game. I do have a decent computer but I wouldnt say its top notch either. If I can run it smoothly I don't understand why a lot of others can't either. Could it possibly be a problem with settings or something?

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

It's a problem with the games coding. It works on some, but has bugs on others. Either that or the people are using controllers and not being able to notice the mouse stutter.

By the way, a recent release, CoD black ops had a similar stuttering issue, but that was due to it being optimized for the xbox 360.
