The way I see it, nobody is going to know what maps to download through the big maw of crap that people are going to be putting out. So, there needs to be a Chapter maybe or some sort of governing body of halo players who put their stamp of approval on all maps, maybe this will help with all the crap that is going to come out of the HEK. Maybe just a website that is regulated where people can go to see what maps they need to download to play on servers, so that you can download a certain number of maps, and almost never get kicked off of a server. Something needs to be done.

I definitly agree with Flit. We need one website to be the main channel for new maps. If others want their website to have maps thats fine. But there needs to a governing body to regulate, host and rate maps. There are some great halo mods sites, but one needs to be the collective source of maps. Who will rise to the challenge?

Cortana.org looks like it's positioning itself to be the place to find mods and maps.

Absolutely. Cortana has a partnership with Gearbox and are actually privately run off of Gearbox's servers. They claim to have a lot of new content and features coming that have been planned by them and Gearbox for months. They are commited to supporting the user created content community. So far they haven't said what new, fun stuff is comming. Let's hope it's good. If you have concerns about map ratings and things of that matter, I would urge you to get on the forums or email/PM the Moderators at Cortana.
