Subject: Halo 3, constant split second delay. Help?

I went from Halo: Reach to get on a game of Halo 3, but when I started playing, I had a crippling aiming delay that could have been as much as half a second. What is this? It made it impossible to play with any kind of skill. I noticed this on Mythic, and it seems worse now that I sold ODST and am playing on a copy of Halo 3 Legendary. Do you know anything about this delay? I figured that if it were so bad for everyone, it would just be a fact about the game, but I have never heard of this. It seems to be just now.

Does it matter what processor I have? Halo: Reach and Black Ops run free of lag. I say lag as in actual lag, not ping which everyone refers to as lag. Is that my confusion there?

fear me, for i am pro sauce

halo 3 actually makes you aim at the person to hit them, try leading your shots, either that or uou might be lagging a bit

It was actually my pooptastic TV and Xbox. It was just lagging a lot from overheating drives.

I do lead my shots, the actual aiming was lagging. It's always there for more, but not it is at least a few miliseconds instead of the half a second delay I was experiencing.
