ok on my pc, halo has worked great ever since i bought it which was about a day after it came out....now for reason the sounds are echoing (however my speakers do weird things so maybe thats the reason), but the real thing i HATE is that the white sniper lines dont show up on multiplayer anymore...if im not zoomed i can see every1 elses but they flicker a lot...also i cant see mine at all, zoomed or not...has any1 had this problem and if so how do i fix it?

my video card is a GeForce FX 5200...lol sucks i noe, and im pretty sure i have the latest drivers...the thing is...it worked be4 this so im just wondering y its doing it now all of a sudden...its really hard to snipe w/ no line cuz if u have a very small amount of lag like say 101, then u have to lead off a little more than usual...and i cant tell where im shooting w/ no line so i cant adjust, plus i cant see when ppl r shooting at me

For your echoing problem, do you have a microphone turned on and plugged into your computer? I'd also test those speakers on a different setup to see if you can duplicate the problem with other hardware. This will narrow down your search for the culprit.

For your missing graphics problem, I'm not as sure of where to begin with that one. If it used to work, then what have you done to your system lately? Have you installed any updates, changed any drivers, installed any new software? Things on a computer usually dont' just stop working by themselves. ;) Also, I'd follow the advice of the other forum members here and update your drivers, even if you think you have the latest (unless you've gone to nvidia's site and checked). This will at least eliminate one possibilitiy from the troubleshooting spectrum.

well i noe that I didnt do anything to the computer, but i share it with the rest of the family so ill ask my dad and see if hes installed anything recently...and ill also check nvidias site...theres also no microphone in or computer...i was messing w/ the speakers because they stopped working all together, and i fixed the problem and they worked for about a week then the echoing started again...also its just halo and i think it may be a glitch because its only reloading and stuff, and sounds exactly like it does in hang em high when it echos so i dunno...thx for ur help guys

and for your graphics problems, its either that your graphics card isnt capable of showing you these graphics or you have old dirvers. upgrade drivers and then check if they show all details. if it doesdnt show then, im sorry to say, your graphics card sucks.

ok im not sure but i think its a bad thing to double post, and if it is im sorry...but anywayz for some reason my sound problem just seemed to fix itself...other problems in halo have done that be4...like a few times the mc would just spin, others hed always jump, and after awhile itd fix itself...i think my game/comp is possessed....

you mean you would just randomly look up and start spinning? i had that problem before and It was my mouse that was causing that problem. you might want to get a better quality mouse. but thats just me.

Whoa...whoa...whoa.... before you blame your system, you need to see whether this happens when your not connected to the internet. Try hosting a game on your LAN and see whether the effects still aren't showing up.

The thing is, when your LAN gets congested the game server will reduce the information sent to you-so it won't send those fancy extras like sniper lines.

Now with the sound, all I will say is good luck:)

ummmm how do i host a game on my LAN? sry im an idiot...also it isnt my mouse and it wouldnt be after i looked around or anything itd just do it all the time as soon as the level started or i joined/hosted a game, and it was only on halo...the sound problem just fixed itself so thats not a problem anymore...tho it does scare me how my halo probs keep fixing themselves
