Go outside and get some fresh air, or:

-Bring your xbox downstairs
-Get an extension cord
-Drill a pathway up instead of around

Then I'm out of ideas, but check out TigerDirect.com to see if they have any deals on a wireless network starter kit before you say no. They usually have good deals there.

Then how can you plug your Xbox in in the first place?

Oh and you do know that ethernet cable can go 300 feet before it needs an inline amplifier to boost the signal.

I have a long corded surge protecter which i run upstairs. I plug in my fan, my light, my xbox, my ps2, my stereo, and my tv. Then i CAN run a 56k wire upstairs because there is a 56k plug in my room...and a cable plug but i cant find a way to get my DSL line upstairs. By the way my dad has the wireless EVERYTHING but then he would have to pay for wireless, all our computers have wireless ports, and all that other crap so...would be along time to do all that.

What do you mean "pay for wireless"? You said your dad has all the stuff already right? You have a wireless router right? Just buy the wireless network adapter for the Xbox. I don't know what you are talking about but we have a wireless router that our DSL plugs into and then my dad has a wireless card in his laptops and I have a wireless receiver thing upstairs on my computer. We just pay for the DSL service and that's all. The only money we had to pay for wireless is when we bought the router and wireless cards for the computers. The wireless network adapter for the Xbox just ties into the wireless network in your home or office or where ever it is and then gets the DSL connection that way instead of a direct hardwire connection.
