I would think so. I mean, the shields are a piece of equipment...independent of whether the user is alive or not.

Example - If you died, your mobile phone would still ring.

Well in canon the suits usually explode when the user is killed so the Covenant don't capture the technology. I guess if it didn't explode they would. In the game, they don't regenerate.

The hell are you talking about? The suits don't explode when the user is killed, that only happened in First Strike because Master Chief activated the fail-safe detonation on Grace's armor. All Spartans have it built into their suits but it can only be detonated manually

Ok, chill out man, IF the suit does explode, the shields obviously don't recharge. The suit does monitor the health of the user, so maybe it turns the shields off after death.

lets say a spartan would be sniped with a beam rifle to the head, would the shields regenerate after a while?

Technically they won´t, the Shields activation system is probably controled by the Neural Interface from the Spartan; if the Spartan Dies the whole system shuts down.

With the exception of Emile´s armor ofc, but this is more likely an error.

Which could be explained by simply telling that the Software of the Mjolnir suit had a glitch, or a bug, hence why the Shield was still active even after Emile died.

I'd say the whole suit would shut down or even self destruct if a pulse was lost.

Grace's self destruct was manually set by 117 in First Strike aboard 'Heirophant.

Shut down certainly, but no SPARTANS have had their suits auto-self-destruct.
Also, SPARTANS have interchanged parts like seals and pumps from dead comrade's suits (Fred in First Strike took parts from Malcom[?]'s suit when he was killed by the drop to Reach), so I'm not sure.

Well, Mjolnir do has a Self Destruct Mechanism (Called Fail-Safe Detonation), but I think it has to be activated by someone else (Grace-093, First Strike).
