Yes, needs to be a 16 bullet kill. Bungie wreaked the AR's cheap 6 Bullet-Melee with the new "no bleedthrough" system, so I have no idea why they decided to further nerf the AR.

And I would like a bigger magazine size, but thats just my nostalgia for the most part saying that.

Im with you 100% dude.

The AR is a halo classic. Even though you started off with the pistol in the beginning, hey its a pistol, side arm, get it? lol. Once you charge into that mess room your AR is by your side and you just unload on them grunts.

Theres a sliver of use of the AR in MM which is sad. The AR should do much more damage per round, have a headshot bonus because its a -blam!- gun, bullets still hurt no matter what they are when your hit in the head, and a larger magazine size. Im not saying bump it back to 60 because thatd be overkill. Somewhere near 45 would be perfect, or hell how about 50 becuase in the halo games, a 50 is kick ass.

The downside to it all would be the dmr and the over use of it with mlg tactics which have ruined the game for casual gamers. Most everyone out there uses it because its what your give to start off with, but wheres the fun in the game when what you'll see almost every death is either a grenade, a fist and bullets to the face, almost instant death. People complain how you can overcome this problem by working with your grouping and aim overall but thats hard to do when your being shot, controller vibrates, screen jumps a bit, it throws you off a bit. Seeing that over and over again kills it for some people.

If the AR is going to get an update, it should at least be given to you from the start no matter what gametype it is. It should be able to hold ground against a dmr duel at a medium to a short long range so it'll make the other person back off, make it more combat like. Full auto will also do alright at med range but best stick with tapping the gun. Bullet spread is alright where it is.

Again im saying that becuase its a halo CLASSIC!

The magasine size increase would be a way to help players who start shooting earlier, but the more skilled option is to increase the individual round's damage, rewarding marksmanship more.

i vote an increase to 45 rounds with 18 shots to kill.

Yes please. At first I was sticking to the pistol but lately I have been using the Assault Rifle because unlike the pistol its acceptable to miss a shot or two. In most cases as of now the DMR user is able to take out an Assault Rifle user in all ranges.Increasing Damage and/or clip will enable the user to be able to take down headshot weapons in close range and make it more capable in mid or long range.

Magasine size iz bearable, and balanced if the rounds become stronger. That's the more skill oriented option.

16 rounds to kill is where it's at.

In 5 bursts of 4, you can do the exact same damage as the magnum.

If it's damage is going to increase, the Magnum's damage, and the DMR's, is going to need an increase as well.

Ultimately, almost all weapons would need a damage increase, therefore, it wouldn't fix the issue.

It takes longer to burst 4 inacurate AR rounds, and wait for the bloom to more or less reset, than to fire an accurate, headshot capable round from the Magnum or DMR.

That would still be the case, even with slightly more damaging rounds, but that way the AR could at least be usefull.
