Does anyone even look at B.net sigs?

I know I might sound like a noob but the AR was my favorite weapon. It would actually win a fight against a BR if you knew how to use it. Now it is so weak it is like you start with nothing but a gun to deplete shields for the rest of your team to headshot them. They might as well take it out and just give you a DMR because you cant do jack without it.

I would love for them to make it stronger, I would also love to see the huge clip size in CE but I doubt that while happen.


Same here :) But yes, sadly, this AR is too weak.

I don't think a mag size upgrade would leave it ballanced, though it would be fun in Campaign and Firefight.

And again yes, I want it to be stronger. Burst firing is harder than just simply aiming a DMR and firing it's accurate shot. So Bungie, please in a Title Update, increase the damage per round of the AR, so that I don't have to constantly switch to the Magnum and DMR!

I dunno, the magnum is already like that. (A semi-automatic DMR that is much more useful in close quarters)

But yeah I kinda agree, the ar and the plasma repeater could do with perhaps a 10% damage increase.. I'd choose the plasma pistol over the repeater now anyday, that things a beast in close quarters. Its like 4 shots and their shield is gone! And bam in for the melee before they've even shot 10 bullets. This shouldnt happen!! Its an "assault rifle"!!


The plasma repeater has been nerfed since the beta. It was actually a very powerful gun then. Now I wish that the elite loadouts give you classic plasma rifles rather that plasma repeaters.

The Plasma Repeater could use a small buff in SPARTAN on SPARTAN play, but in Elite Slayer, it is definitely too weak.

But I'd rather see the AR buffed, as, right now, the PR can own it anyday.

The Magnum is a good weapon- Powerful and with a rather fast rate of fire and a headshot multiplier.

However it is less acurate than the DMR and has a shallow magasine and a small ammount of reserve ammo.


The AR however is practically rendered useless against any other weapon at any range.

I agree...I think its pretty ironic how the AR has been an icon of Halo since the beginning, but its always the first weapon to get swapped out when you pick up something else.

Exactly. In Halo 3 however, I learned to use it and loved it.

In Reach I don't give it a second thought.

In CE, It worked like a more long term shotgun which you could burst fire, but to little effect.

Faster pace, another usefull weapon and so forth...

I don't use it much, but it would be nice. I won't mind if it's not implemented, but I always liked the way the AR looked, it would be nice for it to be a more viable weapon.

The pistol is what you use to 1 v 1

The AR is my primary choice for multiple enemies so I don't have to reload as often - just like it was in CE

Just increase magazine, makes AR more of a run and gun weapon and the pistol more of the cleanup weapon.

An increase in range would make it a weaker, less precise Magnum.

The range already overlaps with that of the magnum- this is a very short to mid range weapon. The magnum is a kind-of short to mid range weapon.

I just want the damage to be increased slightly.

Range? Yes.

But Rof and damage, no!

The Rate of Fire is slower than before and the AR now takes 20 rounds to kill, while in Halo 3 it took 16.

The magasine size increase would be a way to help players who start shooting earlier, but the more skilled option is to increase the individual round's damage, rewarding marksmanship more.

I tend not to use the AR but when I do I tend to burst fire, so I would really appreciate the greater damage seeing as you have to empty nearly the entire clip to take someone out. Assuming of course you are missing a normal amount of shots.
