Anything which decreases kill times in this slow-ass game is godd...

In my opinion the AR should have a larger magazine. Do you remember Halo:CE ??? There was just the opposite: The AR had an amazing rate of fire with 60 rounds per mag, but it had a ridiculous penetrating power. It had more the behave of an MP.

I think the Halo Reach AR should have 36 rounds per magazine. Its a compromise, when it takes this long to kill a spartan (remember: Spartans are SUPER SOLDIERS!!!). But if done correctly it should be possible to take out two guys.

Additional to this it would be more realistic, if you could faster change to the sidearm weapons. The change to weapons on the back (DMR, shotgun, AR, rocketlauncher, etc) should take longer, that would only be realistic.

I dont know wether to reduce time to change to side arm weapons or to decrease changing speed to bigger weapons on the back.

This would make the magnum more attractive as second weapon with the sniper for example. The sniper in combination with the dmr is to overpowered, when its possible to change between them in the same time!!!

What do you think???

Good idea (swapping weapons time change. But a magazine size increase does nothing for promoting marksmanship, decreasing kill times, or making the AR more effective in 1v1 situations.

If say anything other than 'Yes', post your opinion, but read through the thread first :)

Correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't that lead to AR Beatdown like H3?
No. You could kill faster and the no bleed through helps.

If you don't care, don't vote at all.

This way, you voted "No" for no clear reason.

Bump. The Plasma Repeater and the Assault Rifle need nerds. Every time I use them, I am forced to almost always finish up with a grenade or a melee attack.

It is time for change.

Nerfs means make them weaker.
Nerds means something entirely different.

I assume from your post that you want them to be better (beefed up).

The ar has been made sucky, and all marksmanship rewards it once had have been lost.

I approve this thread and strongly agree.

Are you sure you're not confusing the old AR's with the new one?

The Reach AR takes more marksman skill to use effectively than every automatic weapon combined. Burst firing is extremely hard if you want to have a firing rate fast enough to beat most non power weapons. The range, kill time, and accuracy will dramatically increase if you do it perfect.

The Reach AR is the worst one for spraying, but hands down the best one in burst firing. The difference in effectiveness and difficulty to use is huge. Pacing is hard and extremely rewarding, while full auto is easy and much less effective.

It's true that it requires skill now.

But there is no reward for being skilled with it, as it deals miniscule damage.

Right now, it's harder to use, AND weaker.

Those two aspects of a weapon (skill requirement and weapon effectivness) should not be proportionate.

Meaning- the greater the skill requirement, the more effective it should be.
