That would help further stop rushing, but I don't find that necessary or as effective in increasing the AR's offensive capabilities.

16 rounds to kill, dealing equal damage to shields and health is what I think it should be like.


Increasing health damage would deem health packs practically useless, and would make the melee somewhat useless also.

Yes, but I find that it's fine even if the mag size stays the same (Since in H3 it was enough even with the faster rate of fire).

Yes, Melee is already a last resort option in Reach. Lets not make it obsolete.

I think 60 mag is OP, unless Bungie changes the damage and the ROF of the Assault Rifle, but that could take weeks of coding for all I know.

Sure, why not? After learning to use short, controlled bursts I find it much more rewarding than the pistol. I just love jetpacking up so high that the opponent's bullets miss while my bullets rain down on them.

No. It's harder to burst at mid range than to simply shoort the guy with the magnum. If it wasn't for the Magnum's shallow magazine it would be totally OP.

A lot of us loved the weakness of the new Ar in the beta and thus said leave it be.

But bungie powered it up a little bit. Before a full round = shields gone. now a full round CAN kill someone if all bullets hit, iffy, but does happen..

Yes, and it makes it more of a spray weapon. Increasing round strenght makes it more skill oriented.

16-round kill with a 34-to-36-round magazine would be the best of both worlds, you could have a decent weapon with a very slight margin of error to get 2 kills without reloading. The 34-36-round mag would be deep enough to get 2 kills if it kills in 16 shots, but not enough that noobs can just spray for half a minute.

But only if you hit EVERY single bullet. Which is nearly impossible unleas you bring in grenades. 16 bullets would increase burst-firing's effectiveness.

Except for the AR. It's kill time, coupled with inaccuracy make it useless unleas you have every other advantage (Noob player is distracted and you shoot first from behind).

For it to be a usefull weapon I believe it needs a slight buff (16 rounds to kill).

Bursts will be more effective, rushing won't dominate and skilled players will be happy :)
