Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

For me, it would have to be Halo 3.
*SPOILERS*
I like how they did a memorial of all the soldiers that died in the war, and that a gun is fired for every soldier who passed in this war. I also liked the conversation that the Arbitor and the leader had.
*End of Spoilers*
So forum, what was you're favorite Bungie game ending? Please leave an answer and why.

Marathon or Halo CE. I like both endings for different reasons.

Halo 2.

I know most people hated the cliffhanger, but I thought the ending was pretty awesome. I just love when the Arbiter steps forward, looming over Johnson and Miranda from behind and says, "And where, Oracle, is that?"

And nobody will ever forget, "Sir, finishing this fight."

Halo 2 was my second favorite Bungie game ending. I think it's cool when Mater Chief took that ship and flew towards the planet and said. "Sir, finishing this fight."

I really can't say. If someone was pointing gun at my head and saying I must to choose I would say Halo CE.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Probably Halo 3.

Halo CE. Driving the warthog through the Pillar of Autumn, avoiding the Flood, Covenant, explosions, and other chaos...freakin' amazing!

I've probably replayed that level a bazillion times.

Halo 1 had the best last level but I think Reach had the best last cutscene, it just seemed right. And The Maw was so much fun, I am tempted to go and play it now...

Signatures are for squares.

It would of been Reach's ending, but I can't properly enjoy it's campaign with the canon errors.

Actually, Halo CE.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

I really liked Halo 3's standard ending. It was a conclusion, a "the end" of the story.

The war is over, we didn't win but we survived with the help of our enemy. It's time to rebuild and start over. No More Halo.

... but then here comes Chief floating in space with Wake me when you need me. Clearly nothing more than a backdoor to another sequel if somebody wants to make more money off of the Halo franchise, and what a surprise, here comes 343.

i disagree with that statement i think they did it so you can draw your own conclusion whether he lives or dies add a final mystery to john 117, that was my favorite ending

If they hadn't shown Chief floating in space with cortana, you could still imagine that he survived, just as we can currently imagine that Jun is still alive, even though it's very unlikely.

I'd have been much happier if they hadn't included any actual evidence of Chief or Cortana being alive at the end, and rather, some discussion amongst some key characters in H3 about how the half of the ship that didn't make it through may not have been obliterated, leaving room for belief that Chief might be floating in space with Cortana, rather than flat out showing that they are still alive.

Halo 1. Entire final level made it really hit home how far we had come.

Halo 2.
My Halo 2 disc got messed up and the ending won't play. Cuts to black right after Master Chief utters a silly one liner. Can't find the complete ending on Youtube either, which is pretty weird considering how popular Halo 2 was. Wish I could find it; Halo 3 makes no sense without it.

"Were it so easy..." -Thel Vadame.

Halo 3. It took me back to Halo CE. A wave of accomplishment is thrown at you after destroying Installation 04. After destroying the Ark and the new installation, and saving humanity I felt the same. Also the monument service is probably my most favorite scene in Halo.

Halo 3. The scene after the credits was the perfect ending to the series. I kind of hope we never find out what happens to the Chief

Is this what you're looking for?

OT: Halo:CE hands down.

Chief: Did anyone else make it?
Cortana: Scanning. Just...dust and echoes. We are all that's left. We did what we had to do...for Earth. An entire Covenant armada obliterated, and the Flood...we had no choice. Halo. It's finished.
Chief: No. I think we're just getting started.

Halo CE, hands down. Halo 3 is also pretty well-executed; it uses Halo CE's ending to prop itself up a lot, but given how they did it and how HCE's ending works that's a reasonable design decision.

Reach would probably be up there if they had managed to make it a heck of a lot less contrived. Like if it were actually possible to get through the mass-driver part legitimately without memorization. Or if the firefight had been something other than a small box of confusingly placed RTB barriers that everything except for you is capable of walking through safely. Or if they hadn't contrived the gameplay mechanics for said firefight by applying HUD tricks that don't exist anywhere else in the game (or series, for that matter). Or if they had let the player control the character straight through to the end and then actual end it rather than ignoring the player's action and suddenly cutting to a hilariously nonsensical "badass" AR/pistol rampage where the hero drunkenly blows the crap out of elites left and right at close range.

You are Destiny.

Marathon 1's ending was excellent as well. It was mysterious. Rather than answering questions, it simply hinted at deeper, darker questions.

...you know how hard it is to strangle the undead.

I don't know that I can pick one single favorite ending. Most of Bungie's games (particularly Pathways, Marathon, and Myth) really have memorable endings.

I always felt that Oni's ending was something of a letdown and obviously Halo 2's ending is unquestionably the worst.
