I don't care. I really don't.

I've come up with a theory. . .Here ya go!
The Sangheili, being carnivorous in nature, will use their powerful mandibles to tear up the carcass before proceeding to devour. Their mandibles are not flexible enough to push the food into their mouths, thus disabling them to eat as a human would. They must first use their mandibles to tear up the food into large chunks as the carcass lay on the ground. Then they must manually use their hands to pick up the chunks from the ground and carcass and place it in their throat/mouth. The large chunks of meat will be forced down the throat by muscular contractions similar to the esophagus found in humans, keeping the food in their stomachs. The Sangheili have no need to chew their food as their bodies have evolved to digest large chucks of meat. Similar to how a snake devours its food completely whole.
So, they eat like a T-Rex except there are hands involved? Cool.
