Ever watched Korn's video, "Y'all want a Single"? In that video, they're pretty much bashing the music industry. You'd probably have to find it on the net somewhere, I doubt it ever did or will see any airtime on a national network.

Ever heard of underground music? Listen to some old Reagan Youth or something.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

They are alright. I like some of their songs. I prefere Three Doors Down though. ~_^

Yeah, they rock too. Them and Greenday.

Yeah, I'm generally more of a mainstream kind of guy, and if I don't like something, I won't listen to it. I'll find something else to do. Besides, I wouldn't know where to find any underground music, and I've never heard of Reagan Youth.

Don't flame me, please, I don't look into stuff much and generally just take what I like out of the great (sarcasm) industry's offerings.

Edit: talking to KillyourTV

I wouldn't flame you over that. You are entitled to your opinions, I was just sharing mine.

Thanks for that. I respect your opinion, I'm just too lazy to check it out and see if there's anything to back it up or not . . . one would like to think everyone's opinion is based on actual facts, but unfortunately that's not always the case. Not saying anything about you in particular, just in general.

Understandable, I used to have faith in the music industry. Somewhere down the line it fell apart. I think it was around the Napster/copyright debacle. Most of what they say is false about the bands not getting paid for the music. The bands get paid primarily on contracts, recieving only a fraction of the profit gained by record sales. All this money goes into the pockets of the record labels and so forth, which doesn't seem very healthy for the industry as a whole.

Also, the big record labels won't ever produce music that is geared entirely towards smashing the state, the real problems in society, etc etc. (Don't want to get a "Rules" warning again, so I will stop here)

Watch that Korn video I mentioned earlier. It's not in the lyrics, but the words that flash across the screen. It tells you to steal the video, too, somewhere in the middle, I think. The whole video is the band walks into this music store and starts trashing the place. It's nutty.

I'm going to bed now. Good night.

LP is a formula band. Every song is the same. The rapper dude raps, Chester (that's the lead signer's name, right?) screams, the rapper dude (I think it's Mike?) raps again, and the dude screams again. The repeat the formula for, oh, 12 songs and then sell that crap as an 'album'.

:-/

I'll admit, mixing six or seven instruments is hard, but LP is just more of the same when it comes to thier songs and albums. I liked their first album for about three songs and then a snapped it in half...

I agree and even have said almost the same exact thing before. Breaking the Habbit is a good song though. I guess it kinda does what its title says.

I'll be on my own side.

LP is ok. i like Green Day much better. they kick ass. although for some strange reason i love Final Fantasy music. it helps you go to sleep at night, and its cool just to listen to during the day.
