Lol modding a PC isn't really modding. It's not like you have to unlock your PC to be able to run custom programs.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
I'm sorry, even though modding came from the PC, and even though you can mod PC games, it's not modding. I fail to see the logic there. Please, take this guy's advice and get off the internet.
My original xbox is very precious to me as well and it's also rare now, but playing the betas really does interest me a lot. I've seen xbox mods where people upgraded the CPU to a faster one and added more RAM to the Xbox.
I've thought about modding my Xbox before, but there's always a risk and I don't want to ruin my xbox, even though most of the games I have for it will work on my Xbox 360. I'm still on the fence about doing anything to my original xbox. I've messed up jailbreaks on my iPod Touch before, but that's easy to reset. An Xbox is a lot more complicated. I think custom maps in Halo 2 PC will be sufficient for my mods interests lol.
Original Xboxes aren't rare at all, they have a ton of them and games at every used game store I go to, plus if you softmod you can load original XBL dlc.
Also, if you bork a softmod on an Xbox 1, you can recover easily if you back up as all files are on the HDD.
