Yes, I understand this was a patch - I have a different question.

I'm planning on getting an M11x soon which does not come with a disc drive. It's a pretty powerful little machine but they couldn't fit one. Which, for most games anyway, will be fine what with the direction Steam and Microsoft(poorly) seem to be taking things. Also, I do not have an external hard drive and would like to avoid purchasing one if possible.

My question: If I have legally purchased the game, have a legit CD key and disc, what are my options for adding it to my new laptop? Could I copy all the files to USB on another computer? Is there a trial I could use and then just type in my CD key to get a full download? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I think it'll still install if you copy everything off the disc but I'm not entirely sure.

If not, install it at one location and then copy the files over. Secondly, copy the registry entry to the new machine and it'll work.

If the first solution doesn't work and you need instructions to get the registry part done, let me know.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Rip the CD with ImgBurn, and then mount it with Daemon Tools. Then install 1.09 and your'e good to go.

Grenades are like RAM, you can never have too much

It is completely legal to download an ISO from a torrent website if you legitimately own the game, however i cannot link you to one, as it would break forum rules

second, why the hell would you buy an alienware?
they are cheap hardware in a nice shiney case priced 3x the normal cost
you could make a m11x for $300 with a normal case

You could buy an external DVD RW Disk Drive that plugs into one of your laptop's USB ports. Then you could install the game via the installation disk.
