I have no idea what to tell you. Do you have the latest drivers for your video card and all that?? Sorry, but this has never happened to me before.

Give us system specs!

Do you have a 256MB video card? Because it sounds like you don't have the newest update, correct? Right click on your halo icon in its C:/Program Files directory and check the version. If it's not 1.05 or newer, then you need it. It contains a hotfix for 256MB videocards. Just google it and you'll get a few sites that host it.

Otherwise, update video drivers.

You can try to adjust the brightness by going to it blind I had to do it for a friend with another game.

In halo.

When the game starts (you hear the monks)

Hit the down arrow 3 times and hit ENTER

Then

Hit the down arrow 5 times and hit ENTER

Then

Hit the down arrow 8 times and THEN hit the Right arrow (you can either tap or hold) That is the brightness side.

See if that works.

if not hold the alt button and hit tab tab then right click on halo in the toll bar and hit close so you dont save the settings.

let me know hear if it works.
