Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

I have a few questions about the Battle of Earth.
Where is the UNSC capital? I know it's located on Earth but what city is it in?

In Halo 2, was Regret's ship the only ship that touched down on Earth? When Regret escaped New Mombasa, were there any ships left?

In Halo 3: ODST, did the ships that came out of slipspace in the morning only start to dig around New Mombasa, or did they begin to invade the whole planet?

What cities were officially glassed (completely or partially)?

How much of a timespan is there between the end of Halo 2 and the start of Halo 3?

How many UNSC Ships were on Earth at the start of Halo 2? And at the start of Halo 3?

Did the entire Covenant Loyalist fleet follow Truth the Earth at the end of Halo 2?

When Truth went through the slipspace portal in Halo 3, did all the Covenant Loyalists on Earth follow or did some stay behind on Earth?

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

I dont think it is actually said what the capital of Earth is, since there is still various countries and not just one big earth-nation. If there were a capital, it could be Sydney, since UNSC HIGHCOM has (what I think) it's main base.

Yeah, Regrets ship was the only ship that touched down on Earth that we know of. It is thought that UNSC orbital defenses destroyed the Covenants raggedy ass fleet.

Only about half of Africa was glassed. I dont know about New Jersey, but I dont think it was, and Cuba wasent either.

Halo 2's ending links directly to Halo 3's ending, so there probably isint even a couple of hours? (?)

Hundreds, bolstered by 300 Super MAC Orbital Platforms that were all around the planet.

The entire Loyalist Fleet did not follow, but a good portion of it did. The rest was either left fighting the Seperatists or helping them fight the Flood, to later kill each other again.

All of the Covenant Loyalist forces followed Truth.

I'm a little fuzzy on some of this. Bungie kind of retconned their own canon with New Mombasa. As I understand it, initially, Regret's carrier was the only one to make it past the defensive line. After he left, there were no more ships. Just some abandoned ground units.

In Halo 3: ODST, did the ships that came out of slipspace in the morning only start to dig around New Mombasa, or did they begin to invade the whole planet?
According to Uprising, there were other ships around. When they showed up, I don't know. They did attack other cities though.

The ships that jumped in over New Mombasa were there to dig for the Portal, not invade.

What cities were officially glassed (completely or partially)?
I think Voi, and the surrounding area, was the only one.

A few days?

When Truth went through the slipspace portal in Halo 3, did all the Covenant Loyalists on Earth follow or did some stay behind on Earth?
I'm sure not all of them managed to get away from the civil war taking place around 05, but I imagine most of them went through. I think all of them that were still around when the portal opened went through. There would be no need for any of them to stay behind.

Please correct me anyone if I got some stuff wrong.

I have a few questions about the Battle of Earth.
Where is the UNSC capital? I know it's located on Earth but what city is it in?
The HIGHCOM Hive is in Sydney[FS pg.98] but Australia was damaged severely during the battle [Uprising #1] and Hood was leading the battle from Cairo and the Dawn.

In Halo 2, was Regret's ship the only ship that touched down on Earth? When Regret escaped New Mombasa, were there any ships left?Regret's carrier was the only ship to make it to the surface and left alone. However, a Brute-controlled fleet arrived to Mombasa just ~twelve hours later.

In Halo 3: ODST, did the ships that came out of slipspace in the morning only start to dig around New Mombasa, or did they begin to invade the whole planet? The battle was far from over, so the UNSC would not have let them dig without interfering. Presumably another fleet engaged the UNSC ships in orbit.

What cities were officially glassed (completely or partially)?Casualties from the orbital bombardment were extreme [H3 Crow's Nest opening], leaving only 200 million humans alive [H3 bestiarium]. A lot of damage was done, but it wasn't nearly as thorough as usual. The word "glassing" is in jeopardy after Reach, so no semantics about that. But the big cities were probably mostly ruin.

How much of a timespan is there between the end of Halo 2 and the start of Halo 3?14 days in the Arby side, 9 days in the Chief side.

How many UNSC Ships were on Earth at the start of Halo 2? And at the start of Halo 3?Harper's fleet was 75 ships, and then there were the 300 MACs. And considering that the fleets were able to fight the Covenant for weeks and even spare a battle group for Onyx, there were likely hundreds of ships, of course reinforced by anything the UNSC could pull back from other colonies.

Did the entire Covenant Loyalist fleet follow Truth the Earth at the end of Halo 2?Of the High Charity fleet, a large part did remain behind to fight the Elites and Flood. It is not known if any left; the travel time would be two weeks but slipspace was a huge mess on November 3rd. Many other loyalist (brute-controlled) fleets were already at Earth.

When Truth went through the slipspace portal in Halo 3, did all the Covenant Loyalists on Earth follow or did some stay behind on Earth?"All Brute Cruisers all falling back to truth's ship", says the radio on The Storm. I don't think any stayed; even if they did, the elites would have cleaned them up.

What a waste....

I think when you base jump out of Cairo station, you can see the west coast of the Americas being glassed.

Signatures are for squares.

The places that come to mind about cities hit by the Covenant...

Australia was hit.
Cuba was attacked.
"Half of Africa" was glassed.
Cleveland Ohio and most likely all of America was invaded/glassed.

But yeah, only 200 million human were left alive according to the bestarium. But I believe that number to be wrong. I'm choosing to believe there were only 200 million men left in the UNSC. According to the Halo Encyclopedia, various planets were complete skipped over when the Covenant made their way to Earth. =/

1: The "First Battle of Earth" is the one where Regret shows up with a pitiful fleet and only the flagship survives.

2: The Glass List:
- Australia goes down.
- Cuba is invaded
- So is part of Mexico
- Clevland gets invaded.

Basically there are only 200,000,000 humans left alive after the shooting stops. Earth could only feasibly have more than nine billion people on it at the time. Yeah.

gaaaah, got beaten to it.

anywho:

3: Not all of the Fleet followed Truth. They were in the middle of a battle at the time. The Elites stayed behind to do quarantine duty on The Flood. The Brutes probably lost.

I saw Truth's fleet as hovering around 40ish when he was at the portal.

Yeah, and planets like Sigma Octanus IV had, what, 17 million inhabitants? Harvest had... 300 thousand?

Do not be ignorant. I can't believe you can simply "choose" to ignore something given by a very legitimate source due to some half-ass reasoning and lack of data on the battle of Earth.
