I didn't think any Sentinel was a boss.

Do you mean Heretic leader instead of Arbiter? Anyway, I didn't think any of them were as hard as they should have been.

On Legendary with Mythic on I'd have to say Regret so I voted with that in mind.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

Killing Regret on legendary was difficult. His elite protectors kill me when I am beating him down.

Lol, he was really tough for me on Legendary until I discoverd that unloading dual needlers on him knocked him out of his chair (sometimes), then a switch to the RL for 2 shots ended it.

I can't remember if I ever beat him with Mythic on Legendary in single player so I must not have. Good times.

Personally I am not fond of "boss battles" but for the sake of playing nice:

Prophet on his own is easy since he is frail and weak. His weapon is fairly easy to dodge and you get the satisfaction of beating his ass into a pulp with your MC gloved fists. Granted he has protection, but in and of himself, not that tough a cookie. He also makes the best noises, especially when dual needled or rocket launchered.

Heretic, I cannot stand that part of the game. I get very annoyed listening to him rant on and on about how the prophets have it wrong..since I already know they do as I have been playing MC for all of CE, I do not need convincing. This to me was one of the big flaws with H2, as the player you knew what the rings were, yet most of the story revolved around those who did not know the true nature of the rings. It got boring following all of this side action. The Heretics tactics are predictable and if you have the beam rifle, he is quickly toasted from the upper wings of the "arena".

The Giant Sentinels, well they appear often, so I do not consider them a boss.

Tartarus, that was my vote, mainly due to the fact that you cannot hurt him until his shield is down. That leaves alot of time to end up falling do your death, getting pasted by Johnson by accident (has happened to me twice, Johnson holds a grudge I think) or getting a bit too close to Mr. Gravity Hammer. I rarely die fighting the others, but Tartarus occassionally has my number.
