Fyi -blam!-tard, Microsoft screwed up in linking my Xbox account to my bungie.net account. My real xbox name is KoolGeck0. (Note, the 0 at the end is a zero)

This may be a bit stupid but *title*

I know they aren't living creatures but they can still die.

So if an Engineer lives a normal life. (In Engineer terms of a "normal life") How long are they expected to live? Or do they live forever until they are forcefully killed?

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

I'd say until they're killed by some outside force.

If I remember correctly some sort of lifespan is given in the bestiarum that came with the Halo 3 LE. Unfortunately I can't find my copy. Anyone want to look it up?

Funny that you mention that. Because about 3 hours ago, I looked that up (Just to see what it was about) and if I recall correctly It didn't mention lifespans (I skimmed through most of it.) That or it had Engineers listed as unknown

AH, Bungie, how you been?

In the books they're harmless, helpfull even, but had to be put down after taking a peek into one of the spartans armor specs. Why do you ask such a question.

Drip drop, slice and chop, chase the rabbit, Hop! Hop! Hop! Run away, I don’t care, I will find you anywhere :)

Well isn't there a jelly fish that has an unlimited life span? I mean, I'm sure the forerunners could do that artificially.

Engineers have the ability to repair themselves constantly, so unless they get thrown into the front lines of a battlefield or fall prey to some sort of virus or something, their lifespan is theoretically limitless.

I believe I read that in the Halo Encyclopedia, not sure though.

My best thread evar!

I would assume since they are artificial their lifespan is simply as long as they are in good condition.

I have no idea though.

I don't think they are artificial they are filled with gasses and have their own language

Interesting. I thought it mentioned a lifespan somewhere in the body of the text. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. I'll have to try to find my copy.
