Fail. Or win. Depends on how you see it.

Anyhow, I was having some wierd issues with my email verification. I set everything up back when you (Bungie) first set it up. Now, not only is it not saving my email address correctly, but it is also telling me that I have rcieved the email when (and I've checked many times) I haven't. Just sayin'.

On another topic, would any of you fine Bungie fanboy-ish fellows care to help me playtest my final iteration of my custom map? The only reason I'm asking is because most of my friends have moved on to playing another-triple-A-shooter-which-will-not-be-named-here, and I doubt there is any way of pulling them away from said game. Sadface.

Bungie, If I were to post the latest iteration of the map, a video of the previous iteration, and screenshots of the current layout, would you still accept my submission? I don't pretend that I'm really terribly good at forging, but I have made this map specifically for this contest. But I don't have the manpower to personally test it (which means yes, most of my friends are dbags). In the current iteration, most of the architecture that was in the video of the first playtest is the same. The difference now is that there are a few buildings added, weapon spawning has been tweaked, and two ramps, one to each side, have been replaced.

I'm sorry I ramble, but I only really do this once a week, and if I do this at any other time, it is usually disregarded.

If you are willing to test it, it is a confined space made for Team Slayer, with multiple layers, made generally for 4v4 or 2v2. Message me (all ye non-Bungiers) if you are willing to lend me a hand.

One last thing you might consider.

I thank you in advance for any positive reply you may have to my news article of a post.

"Wake me...when you need me."

I just read the article for a second time. It's a great read. The shots of the "mass out" maps is awesome in contrast to what they later became

Worst update because not only is it about the map packs I'm not going to buy, the original art was better looking than the final versions.

good game bungie

you need eyes if you think the old versions look better then the final version.

Seriously. That's not even a debatable subject.

Still, meh update.

If real is what you can feel, smell, taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

In fact, we're finding so many interesting community-crafted maps that we're thinking about rolling out multiple playlists for the key game types, each packed with a variety of offerings for you to experience and sort of test out in our live environment. Details are sketchy at the moment, but the more we play test your work, the more it looks like we need to explore a more official rotation for a lot of these maps. As we start to flesh out how and when we'll be able to commit to doing that (or even if) I'll make sure to keep you up to speed in this space.

Didn't anyone else read that? That's -blaming!- awesome news!

When it doubt--shout.

Just wondering when there is going to be an update on the website so everyone can view their chosen armor on the service record page.

Great update this week, Urk. I can't wait to play the Noble Maps, and it's good to hear more about them.

Could there be a day when we can see music in multiplayer?

I dunno I kinda like having some music in the background that progressively gets more intense as the fighting grows.
The progressive music was done in Halo 1 and I miss it honestly! it's not the same game without it.

Many thanks for the inclusion of "Forgeman" ( www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=6249830&p layer=Sepsis%20II ) in the Weekly Update...

Whilst I was reading the Update, I honestly was not expecting to see him and it nearly caused me to fall victim to an act of involuntary self-laxation.

Fortunately, I survived the ordeal and once again, thank you for the surprise and keep up the excellent penmanship. Toodle-pip!

What's your name? I'd like to make a complaint.

What an informative update. Did you guys know the noble map pack was coming out soon? I didn't. How come nobody told me sooner? There's been quite a few complaints by the community, and to not even mention anything, even to say that they're not changing it, is pretty sad on Bungie's part.

It's unfortunate. Just tell us we're idiots, or tell us something is in the works, just tell us something. Something other than the Noble Map pack, we -blam!- get it.

you must be teh master chife

I want more gametypes. I could deal with improved forge. I see neither, therefor I won't be returning to halo.

I wonder if there is anyone else who would like bungie to open up the gametype's full options, if I'm not the only one.

Tank Beats Everything!

So it's been the fourth of fifth week of just saying the map pack is coming, but from what I see in the forums and hear about on Live is that people are tired of this "news".

I'd actually like to hear about if any problems that people have been addressing in the forums are being worked on. Even if it is a blunt yes or no to a question. Just some hope to what appears to be a dwindling community.

Another week of a broken game. Oh wait, Reach is already collecting dust stacked on top of guitar hero and other 2 year old games. Shame.

  • 11.20.2010 1:02 AM PDT

Hoi

Yes!

I would really looooveeee to see a Matchmaking Playlist with only the best Halo CE/2/3 multiplayer map Forge remakes.

The Forum topic is in the top 3 topics!
Some of them are done really great, like Guardian for example.

I think everyone would appreciate such a Playlist for old times sake, wouldn't you agree?

  • 11.20.2010 1:19 AM PDT

Wow enough with the map updates bungie, every time they release a map pack they make it seem like they've developed a whole new game or something.

It's Hazard Time

Great update Bunige!
The one and only reason Reach is a bit dull at the moment is (not armor lock/bloom/rank/etc) is the lack of maps!
The Noble Mappack does indeed seem like a solid 3 maps, all seem awesome and really "smart design" and most of all, fun (unlike certain of the original maps, can't win them all). ;)

I also like the idea you have of implementing more (good) forge maps, made by a lot of skilled forgers. Maybe Reach lack of Maps finally will be solved :D
I'll just be playing and waiting for the magic to happen :)
