This is what I would like, but it won't happen anyway. :D
The xbox 360 is at it's limits, when Bungie made Halo 3, ODST and Reach did you ever notice how those games will actually use all the memory?
In Halo 3, we had dual wielding, equipment, forge maps, elite and Spartan customize etc, loads of weapons, more gametype settings and new gamemodes.
In Halo 3: ODST, we had dual wielding taken out, and it provided many more enemies numbers than usual.
In Halo Reach, they took out equipment and their objects, took out dual wielding, more armors for Spartans, no elite customizing, new weapons introduced and keeping weapon variety low.
In all these games, they have balanced memory, by taking something out you free more memory for other objects. The more simple a map geometry is, the more objects you can place on it.
If Halo 4 were to be released, then it should be for the new Xbox console, because the Xbox 360 will not present anything newer than Halo 3/ODST and Halo Reach, if the Graphics, CPU and memory are not going to change.
Why am I talking about Halo 3 for PC?
Well, here's why, if I have the hardware of
Intel core i7 930 @ 4.2Ghz
ATI 5970 (DX 11 Graphics Card)
12 GB memory
3x 1 TB Hard drive
I should be able to run the game more better than Xbox 360.
Benefits of this game being on PC
RAM
I could load the whole campaign map in one go making BSP transitions redundant.
Lots of enemies - more than ODST and also zombie games.
Lots of Forge objects (more than the typical Xbox 360).
More players than the typical 360, due to more memory.
Support for an unlimited amount of forge maps, gametypes, films, Custom maps, Custom campaign maps.
Graphics
True resolution rendering, no cheap sub-HD as the Xbox 360 does.
Frame rate issues? I think not, making 60 FPS and 30 FPS locks pointless.
3D TV, Stereoscopic support. 8D
Anti-aliasing. :D
Anisotropic filtering on x16.
Mip-map quality on high.
Rendering distance higher.
CPU
Vortex equipment, because the Intel cpu I have is better than the tri-core from ATI.
Multi-core rendering.
I forget what else...
Hard Drives, or Solid State Drives
Quicker loading times, as all PC games are mandatory installed on PC's Hard drive.
Add or remove
Firefight should be added to this game, as well as the newer gametypes released only for Halo Reach.
Support the Games for Windows Live interface.
Remove split-screen support...
I know how Microsoft makes DirectX, and they don't even support it, they haven't released a Halo title on PC ever since Halo 2 PC was sabotaged and exclusively left out Windows XP users.
The Mac platform was left with Halo 1, Bungie doesn't care about Mac, but surprisingly Microsoft does still develop software for it, Mac Office anyone? xD
If Halo 3 for PC, could be like Garry's Mod or Valve and supports all types of hardware configurations, it would be a great idea right?
Was it really a good idea for Bungie to stay on one platform released titles? there was a PC that had the equivalent service as Xbox Live, and they or Microsoft chose not to support it. great huh?
Pirates?
On a service called Games for Windows Live, we have
Server Side Activation, in which the Product Key would be tied to the Gamertag.
There are other game protection techniques, but no one has ever successfully pirated or generated keys for a GFWL title, ever. :D
