No. Just get XBConnect, or buy Halo PC.

Bungie doesn't have any plans whatsoever to make Halo live compatible, so I don't see the need to dicsuss this. That said, it would be fairly cool.

Dont you think that it would be cool if after Bungie got done with Halo 3 there next big project was making it so you could play Halo on X-box Live.

If bungie were smart, and clearly they aren't, they would make Halo 1 compatible with Live. They could easily add the Live function to the game, repackage it, and sell it for 50 bucks. They would make a killing for selling the exact same game with that minor tweak.

Make a killing? Again, no.

Bungie is in fact much smarter than you. You probably have no experience in what they do, and they have won plenty of awards, so I doubt you know better than them.

Haha, you certainly proved your point, by praising Bungie (sarcasm).

How can you say, with all confidence, that Halo 1 with Live capabilities wouldn't sell?

A friend of mine modded Halo: Combat Evolved to run with the live service. He set up his PC as a server & we played. Friends list and everything! Although he was the only 1 who appeared online.

I'm not praising bungie. I'm just bringing up a simple fact that they have been successful and know a whole lot more than you. Can you argue that? No.

How can you say with confidence that it WOULD sell? I never seaid it wouldnt, there is just not enough evidence to support the idea that it would.

Give it up, its not happening.

Again, dont you think if it was an obvious goldmine, that they would do it?

Good Lord how many times will I see this?! Halo 1 on live would ruin the game. All of you guys who want it live would -blam!- at bungie for ruining the game and hw cheating and modding is all their fault. For gods sake let a sleeping dog lie. Bungie has already confirmed that they will never put halo 1 on live.

Thanks

Yes, I'm sure that if Halo 1 live came out with live, it would sell a lot more than Halo2(sarcasm)

It wouldn't need to sell more or even as much as Halo 2, all it would be for Bungie is extra cash in their pocket. Since it wouldn't take much to get it online or repackage. They would basically be selling a slightly polished version of the exact same thing that came out years ago. And people WOULD buy it. Maybe not as many that bought Halo 2, but that doesn't really matter.

And yes, XBC can be fun, but it gets pretty laggy.

I seriously want Halo 3 to have a mod that basically brings back all the Halo 1 (or Halo 2) stuff and puts it into the game. It'd be awesome.

Or maybe they could even just not screw up Halo 3 like they did Halo 2. Just go back to what was good.

Here you are wrong again. Its not just "extra cash in their pocket". Doing the work isnt free. You say it wouldnt take much to do, but in reality you have absolutely no idea how much work it would take. First they would have to learn how the coding was done in that engine, spend the time to add the features, then spend a whole lot more time bug testing the new features and making corrections for the online issues that were caused.

You act as if they could put one guy on it for a couple days and package it, when it is actually a decent undertaking.

Why do people keep arguing about this? Drop it, Halo 1 is done with, Bungie is going to move on to other Halo games and other games in general. If you can't deal with that, then too bad.
