I think posters like stefen99 are the reason people started inb4s, I feel like a psychic hehe. Cliche attempts at wit ftl.
This is what children actually believe,
I've only ever heard kids say things like this to sound mature bud.
we are talking about the awful aim assist, not shot leading, and the only reason aim isnt everything is cause of the god awful bullet magnatism and aim assist THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING
All Halo games have an excess amount of aim assist/magnetism, it's something every...er I guess most, players have just come to accept which is why I stand by my statement.
One of the most intriguing aspects of the series I found to be is the versatility of the gameplay. It allows players to play to their own strength.
If they got rid of the aim assist and magnetism it would cut down on so many different play styles.
You could argue this is a good thing as it would weed out all the inaccurate shooters, but who says that has to be the one and only indicator of a skilled player?
I spaced it out, so all the other people can read it.
Anyway, there is a version without n00b assist. It's called Halo PC, and it's more fun then h2v.
For example, it would serve a less accurate player well to close the distance between themselves and the opponent and take them out with an smg,ar,dw combo, etc.
Granted this applies to other fps games as well, but not nearly to the level it does in this series.
Games like cs have incredibly talented players that can go around mowing everyone down without stopping. However, their skills do not necessarily transition well to Halo (and vice versa).
Take this one friend I played Halo 1 pc with a few years ago as an example. He has deadly accuracy. When he started playing Halo 1 he loved the pistol (hey who didn't, right?).
I knew I would be no match for him when it comes to pistol fights, but I also suspected he would underestimate the strength of the ar in close combat. I went on a tear with it and he just couldn't understand how I was doing so well.
I was spraying (doesn't look pretty I know, but certainly gets the job done), staying in parts of the map where I knew there's very little visibility from a distance, and it all worked to my advantage.
I was making him play into my game. This is something almost all anti-halo, anti-aim assist players can't comprehend for some reason. It really sounds like they are just frustrated that they can't get by with just having incredible accuracy.
This is something I hope to demonstrate in the videos I plan to make (gotta admit, I've taken a liking to them). I'm going to try and use all the guns and show how each and every one of them is deadly when used properly.
TL; DR: accuracy isn't nor should it be all-end all.
That's my take on it anyways.
Tl;DR, Halo is for n00bs according to OP.
You should play cod4. That game is just bullet spray everywhere. And no, it doesn't have auto aim in the PC version.
