Made this to test out fraps/movie maker for a friend more than anything. Only based on like 3 games I played today. Montage itself is nothing special, I'd say I'm a pretty average player and I think we all know most of us playing are casuals at this point so please don't think I'm trying to show off my 1337 skillz or anything.
Nevertheless, enjoy

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Good thing you posted your disclaimer before the link, because you're a terrible shot. You might be average as far as H2 is concerned, but in just about any other FPS, you'd be riding the bottom of the scoreboard playing like that.

Montages should be high quality, and Full HD resolution. -_-
Also like that koolaid guy said, he has a point. :D

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Watch carefully, the very first rocket he shoots misses the hog completely but still manages to magically hit.

Thanks Bungie!

I also lol'd in that shot on Coag where he misses the dude's head by a over a foot and still gets a headshot.

Wow, I didn't know magic was in Halo 2 Vista, perhaps Shadowrun's magic seeped into H2V.

Haha wow haaaaters! It was not that terrible come on now :D

Shot leading is in every pc fps I've played. Plus one of the things that make Halo games different from other games is that it isn't all about your accuracy which is why a bunch of players using aimbot don't do as well in them. Knowing the maps and implementing specific strategies on them, knowing when to use specific guns and gun combinations, things like that are all just as important here as accuracy.

I'll make another video in a few weeks, really busy atm. Hopefully I'll make you guys proud...or give you more reason to hate :p

This is what children actually believe, we are talking about the awful aim assist, not shot leading, and the only reason aim isnt everything is cause of the god awful bullet magnatism and aim assist THIS IS NOT A GOOD THING

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Get better editing software. Movie maker is not designed for montages/amvs/remixes/whatever. Use sony vegas, it's only $50.

All Halo games have an excess amount of aim assist/magnetism, it's something every...er I guess most, players have just come to accept which is why I stand by my statement. One of the most intriguing aspects of the series I found to be is the versatility of the gameplay. It allows players to play to their own strength. If they got rid of the aim assist and magnetism it would cut down on so many different play styles. You could argue this is a good thing as it would weed out all the inaccurate shooters, but who says that has to be the one and only indicator of a skilled player?

For example, it would serve a less accurate player well to close the distance between themselves and the opponent and take them out with an smg,ar,dw combo, etc. Granted this applies to other fps games as well, but not nearly to the level it does in this series.

Games like cs have incredibly talented players that can go around mowing everyone down without stopping. However, their skills do not necessarily transition well to Halo (and vice versa). Take this one friend I played Halo 1 pc with a few years ago as an example. He has deadly accuracy. When he started playing Halo 1 he loved the pistol (hey who didn't, right?). I knew I would be no match for him when it comes to pistol fights, but I also suspected he would underestimate the strength of the ar in close combat. I went on a tear with it and he just couldn't understand how I was doing so well. I was spraying (doesn't look pretty I know, but certainly gets the job done), staying in parts of the map where I knew there's very little visibility from a distance, and it all worked to my advantage. I was making him play into my game. This is something almost all anti-halo, anti-aim assist players can't comprehend for some reason. It really sounds like they are just frustrated that they can't get by with just having incredible accuracy.

This is something I hope to demonstrate in the videos I plan to make (gotta admit, I've taken a liking to them). I'm going to try and use all the guns and show how each and every one of them is deadly when used properly.

TL; DR: accuracy isn't nor should it be all-end all.

That's my take on it anyways.

I spaced it out, so all the other people can read it.
Anyway, there is a version without n00b assist. It's called Halo PC, and it's more fun then h2v.

Tl;DR, Halo is for n00bs according to OP.

You should play cod4. That game is just bullet spray everywhere. And no, it doesn't have auto aim in the PC version.

Might be because I'm new to this forum and not really familliar with the format but I'd think breaking it down to just 2 sentences isn't exactly necessary for a majority of the readers (guess I'm wrong) especially since my paragraphs aren't that long.

If all you got out of what I wrote was that "Halo is for noobs" then you missed my point entirely.

As for Halo 1 pc not having aim assist I wouldn't know as I haven't played it long enough, but I've had relatively same amount of success in both pc games and barely adjusted my playstyle. So either there is some aim assist or it basically reinforces my point that when it comes to Halo accuracy isn't be all-end all.

If a CS:S player jumps into Halo 2, he might get beat, possibly, but not because he's bad at it. I guarantee you he'd be a better shot than anyone else in there. Problem is, everyone else has that little boost to bring them closer to his level. But this would be merely by chance. Halo 2 is a game with a learning curve shallower than the South's gene pool. Two games and that CS player will be on par with everyone, thus bringing the game to what makes the winner in H2 every time: LUCK.

Do vice versa, putting a Halo 2 player into games that actually take skill to play, and he'll get slaughtered. Over, and over, and over, and over...

See, the problem is in your argument. "Accuracy isn't the end-all be-all." What the hell is the point of a first-person shooter then? The entire damn genre is built around marksmanship. Taking that crucial aspect away is catering to the weak. Which is why people like Halo 2;p They suck at FPS.

You are right about one thing. Every Halo has bullet magnetism. Even Halo PC has it. But the extent that Halo 2 brought to the table is gratuitous.

We've known from the beginning that Halo PC has bullet magnetism. It's very minor, nothing like aim assist or the garbage of H2.

Halo PC actually takes decent skill to play.
