I just think that one ODST guy running around with no way to contact his highly trained military troopers one set down from spartan team. You see what i mean? One other thing, the alien thing well that story just stops kinda all of a sudden like it didn't have a STORY CLIMAX STORY END it kinda just ended after the climax which was better then other halo games. ( unless you have played REACH!)
again this is just MY OPINION
i don't want 200 messages saying i suck
spartinmissle ;)
I think the game was trying to recapture some of the CE-ness that was lost in subsequent games. Especially in 3, it kind of felt like you were one guy (even though that guy was Chief) among tons of others. I see what you're saying about not being able to contact your group; even with Covenant jamming, it seems kind of strange. But, it's a plot device to make you feel alone. The only Cortana-free level in CE had a strong effect on me. I really felt alone, and wanted to get her back ASAP. The Rookie has a smaller time to suck you in, so, ODST kind of Left 4 Dead plunges you into the middle of everything from the start. Man, you like Reach's story better than the other Halos ? To each her/his own. Keep Haloing. :P
