We are determined that before the sun sets on this terrible struggle our flag will be recognized throughout the world as a symbol of freedom on the one hand and of overwhelming force on the other.

We all know the story, Reach fell, the Pillar Of Autumn escaped carrying John-117 and AI Cortana. The found Installation 04, otherwise known as Alpha Halo, they, along with a minute number of Marines, Including SMJ. Avery Johnson.
They then took part in the events of Halo: First Strike, returned to Earth to debrief.

The High Prophet of Regret led a small Fleet of 13 CCS Class Battlecruisers, and 2 Assault Carriers, which were attack by 8 Marathon Cruisers and 67 Frigates led By Fleet Admiral Harper.

Regrets Carrier, began lowering down to Earth through a path cleared by 2 Anti Matter Bombs, he then, realizizing his compromization, retreated to Delta Halo, Installation 05, he was followed by the Frigate-In Amber Clad, commanded by Commander Keyes. They syandard UNSC Frigate can hold about 1000 troops, these were deployed to the fight on Halo or Infected by the Flood, were there reinforcements sent By Admiral Hood? Also I would Like to Generally discuss the Battle over Delta Halo, or the Events preceding it or after it, or even con-currently happening.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Most were infected by the Flood, but a few (Johnson, Miranda and a few no names) survived the battle. Those that were infected were used by the Gravemind to fly the In Amber Clad into High Charity.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

That was hard to comprehend . . . I believe fleets with reinforcements were sent out when Master Chief, or the Amber Clad, sent out a distress signal. The UNSC didn't want what happened on Alpha Halo to happen again, so they would most likely send help. Thinking about the story line is confusing . . . I have a question, too. Instillation 00 was the ark, not a ring, correct? And Instillation 04B was made there, right? Just explain that to me and I will be on my way.

-Shadow Chief 3

Megamuffin has it pretty concise. Gravemind takes newly converted flood to learn to fly the In Amber Clad (Though it is easily arguable that he already had the knowledge of how to fly a similar ship) and then migrates to High Charity, setting forth the final 2 missions or so of Halo 3.

Delta Halo should have been flushed out more, I agree. I am sad that it is unlikely that there will be a dedicated amount of time used to return to other Rings.

The Ark is an Installation, technically, yes it is the facility where the Halo installations are made, Installation 04b, the replacement, was made from the time of the destruction of Ins. 04.

Sorry to be nit-picky, but I thought Frigates only had about 100 men, not 1,000? They aren't very large [length of the island upon which the Statue of Liberty stands], I don't think they could hold nearly that many people.

I agree, but in my opinion, Halopedia is currently under a debate on this. I do agree, I would say 100-450 at the most.
Debate on Crew size & Troop capacity.

In my reply to another tread, Where is Tempest located, I would like to say Installation 05, In that it had more of a Jungle/Desert like ecosystem, with many lakes, like the lakes/seas on Tempest.

I don't care. I really don't.

The reason it's not well documented is because it was eventually glassed, right after Truth left. So nobody on the surface lived unless they were like the Arbiter and company and got off-ring before the glassing.
After they got off, the Seperatists elites glassed it to contain the Flood, and they could morally do so because it was no longer holy/religious to them.

The only events that transpired around it before it was renderd useless was the battle of the Library, which isn't worth ducumenting becuase it's so short, the assassination of Regret (documented), halt of Halo's firing (documented) and the Great Schism (again, documented).

Yes, The Sepratists main goal was to contain the Flood, knowing the Flood was a bigger threat than the Loyalist, who the out-skilled, being Elites could easily defeat the Brutes, but like we saw in High Charity as the Schism began, under certain circumstances, the Brutes can gain advantages.

The Elites were pushed from the Higher Towers and council chambers due to hysteria, they were in shock!

The thaughts going through their minds would have been like this:
The Prophets broke the Holy Covenant?!
The Brutes have been given the Gaurd?!
The Brute Ships have attacked?
The Brutes are attacking?
The Flood are in the City?

The Elites were confuesed and, the Brutes, well....took complete advantage of it.

Regret probably wanted the best Covenant troops on his Flagship, so He chose the Spec-Ops, led by Rtas' 'Vadumee, (Half-Faw),
Not many heavy vehicles were brought probably, he made a bad decision by leading the UNSC to Delta Halo, he simply knew he was in danger, and wanted to leave Earth, so he most likely thaught:
A: He would arrive early for the Activation of the Installation
B: He needed a fallback position, he chose I-05.
C: He needed to make time to transmit his message to Mercy & Trouth, his apology.

I've realised that I've been expelled from my mother's uterus as if being shot from a canon, towards a barn door covered in rusty hooks and old nail files. It's a matter of how you use the intervening time in an intelligent and ironic way, and try not to do anything dastardly to your fellow creatures.

If you want more info about the battle in orbit around delta halo you should read ghosts of onyx. Its got quite a bit of info about the battle with the brutes and flood against the elite's.

Now lets talk about Regret's Flagship, the un-named Assault Carrier, if you look closely, it looks like it has a modification/difference above the rear hanger/cargo bay.

Like small skyscrapers/towers?
See: Picture of Carrier.
Also I would read the article, useful knowledge.

As the first image, it may be hard to notice, here is another:
*Note, Regrets Assault Carrier is the top image.

My idea, being The High Prophet of Regret, a religious leader, is that these are places of worship, temple I could say.
To hold his sermons or brodcast messages concerning The Great Journey/The Halo Rings.

<3 Auntie Dot

The Battle of Delta Halo was something like this:

-Prophet of Regret Carrier makes an Slipspace Jump towards Delta Halo followed by the In Amber Clad.
-The UNSC Frigates Paris, Redoubtable and Coral Sea, along with the Prowler Dusk follow the In Amber Clad.

(Between the time the Clad leaves and reaches Delta Halo, the UNSC Home Fleet keeps fighting Regrets Fleet in Orbit around Earth)

-Prophet of Regret Carrier along with the In Amber Clad arrive Delta Halo.

-The Clad deploys Marine teams along with ODSTs and a Single SPARTAN to the grounds of Delta Halo, missions stated above.

-Sierra 117 Kills the Prophet of Regret, above the ring, High Charity along with its escort fleet arrives, the Chief flees the scene while being fired upon by a CCS Battlecruiser, but is captured by Gravemind.

-Sangheili Honor Guards are replaced by Brute Honor Guards.

-*This is Speculation: Sangheili Ship Masters begin getting replaced by Brute Captains.

-UNSC troops as well as Covenant Troops look for the Library and the Index.

-Commander Miranda Keyes and Sargent Major Avery J. Johnson retrieve the Index, but are in turn, intercepted by the Arbiter Thel Vadam. Tartarus arrive, retrieve the Index and takes both Humans with him, then pushes the Arbiter towars a Certain Death only to be saved by the Gravemind.

-Sierra 117 and the Arbiter are both briefed by the Gravemind, who in turns teleport each to a different location, in order to search for the missing Index.

-Above the Ring, the High Prophet of Truth orders a massacre against the Sangheili.

-Sierra 117 Arrives High Charity.

-The Chief battles through High Charity and eventually boards the Forerunner Dreadnought.

-The Forerunner ship slips to Earth along with a small Fleet.

-The Arbiter arrives near Delta Halo´s Control Room, and battles through the Bastion of the Brutes; eventually he stops Tartarus from firing the ring with the help of Commander Miranda Keyes and Sargent Major Johnson.

-The above mentioned UNSC Frigates should have already arrived at Delta Halo, It is Unknown what happened to em, but they probably got destroyed the moment they arrived.

-Sangheili and Brute ships above the ring keep fighting among themselves.

-The UNSC Prowler arrives Delta Halo, but retreats back to Earth (this is probably the ship that gave ONI intel about the Civil War among the Covenant before anyone else knew).

-Sometime after the Elites and the UNSC stopped Tartarus but before the Quarantine of Delta Halo and High Charity, the Arbiter along with Johnson and Miranda Keyes returned to Earth.

-High Charity along with Delta Halo is Quarantined by the Sangheili.

-A single Flood Controlled CCS Battlecruiser breaks Quarantine and is followed by the Fleet of Retribution, lead by the Ship Master Rtas ´Vadum aboard the Assault Carrier Shadow of Intent .

-High Charity somehow breaks the Quarantine and heads to Earth.

That´d be All I think.

Good summary, we need more Halo Experts on this thread, this, in my opinion, is one of the most captivating times in the Halo Universe.

I recall hearing things about The Fleet of Retribution glassing I-05 After the fighting ingulfing it and High Charity was slowing down, I would also like to discuss the ship-to-ship battle over I-05 & High Charity.

Also, what do you think about this?
Shooting Gallery
Was Tartarus right in saying Rtas' Vadumee was a coward, I think he was jelous, like all the Brutes always have been, for the Prophets(Excluding Truth) Liking Elites more.

This. Rtas was the most badass Spec-Ops Commander of the Covenant (and later Shipe/Fleet Master) that ever lived.
