Great job, Bungie! I love what you're doing with Matchmaking. Hardcore was awesome, and I'm looking forward to the new 6 vs 6 playlist. BTB was garbage. Way too much lag, and it took so long to get a game. Then, when you finally get into a game, you get crappy players on both sides, and as soon as one team scores a point, about half of the losing side quits. Real fun... =P
"Brutality" and "Combo Training"? Could you be a little more obvious, Frankie? lol...
Brutality: Brute Shots for all! (This is already a gametype in Team Training, IIRC)
Combo Training: Umm.. just a wild guess here.. but judging from the name, I'm guessing everyone starts with the horribly popular "noob combo"? I actually have a custom gametype like this.. where everyone starts with PP/BR and overshields. Expect a lot of killstealing. Should be entertaining though...
So, judging from the two examples of gametypes given, I'm guessing that the new playlist, aside from the 6 vs 6 one, is some sort of single-weapon playlist, where everyone starts with the same gun/s.
EDIT: Didn't you say that you were removing another playlist too?
I'm guessing Head to Head... Halo 2 was never meant for one on one combat anyway... If you want proof, look at the size of the maps... the amount of power weapons on each map... etc. etc.
