The U.E.S.C. Marathon emblem that appears on my profile was designed by me and picked by Bungie [Bungie All-Star competition] to be available for use by anyone on the Bungie forums.
"Yours to manipulate, to destroy and rebuild"
I think it's pretty much common knowledge that Bungie was amongst one of the first gaming studios to sucsesfully intergrate the 'modern' dual-thumbstick layout for looking and moving around. I've been reading up on the Internet that Bungie was one of the first gaming companies to introduce "Free-look" using the mouse, before this everything was appearantly keyboard operated and you could only aim horizontally.
I've tried to find other FPS games (before Marathon) with "Free-look" and I only managed to find "CyClones" which was released around Marathon. But that's still not the same thing as you move your reticule instead of the reticule staying in the middle.
So I'm just wondering, was this an original idea by Bungie? This is now used in pretty much every computer game (not just FPS games) so I would say that whover, Bungie or not, it could safely be called a revolutionizing function in gaming history.
