isn't it better to put your look sensitivity to 10 and play for a while, then when ur used to it go back to 3 or 4 and your aiming will be improved dramatically?

You first have look sensitivity 4, that means your crosshair will go pretty slow.
Then you select sensitivity 10, means your crosshair will go really fast.
When you get used to l. sens. 10 and play on l. sens. 4 you think: Darn, why doesn't that crosshair move a bit faster... So why would your aiming improve dramatically?!

Mine is on 2, but I do snipe a considerable amount (I just don't like up close and personal fights) and it's served me well so far

I have used every sensitivity from 3 to 10 and have found that 4 or 5 is the best all around. A lot of people think that 10 is the best because you can turn a lot faster. However, once you reach the upper-tier of playing, you realize that this is not the case. 4 or 5 (mines at 4) is the perfect speed.

And yes, I have found the going up to 10 for a little then moving down to 4 does help your shots.

Just get used to the look sensitivity being at 10 full-time...since that is what all of the top level players use. Everything else is just too slow.

I dissagree, you should use whatever sensitivity suits you best, wether it be 10 like waylander or 2 like me

I use a 4 sensitivity on XBconnect and tend to de very well on every game I play. It doesn't matter about the look sensitivity, what matters is how much experience that you have at Halo.

How much experience = important

How much experience + look sensitivity at 10 = even more important

Trust me, give it a try and you'll notice a difference :).

ya somthing like look sensitivity isn't like a universal number that you can set and everyone would be happy. thats why it goes from 1 - 10. everyone has their own personal preference.

I use sensitivty 3 and hit my targets much more often then when I had it set to 10. It's just too fast, and trying to snipe with high-sensitivity is like trying to shoot a mosquito with a crossbow.

Default sensitivity can kill you in close quarters, but for the kind of multi-role fighter I am, 3 provides the best coverage for sniping, mid-range, and close range. Of course, someone with the same skill as me and his sensitivity set to 10 would beat me in close combat, but for the most part I stay the hell away from infighting by backpedalling and going for headshots with my trusty pistol while he tries to get close enough for his shotgun to work.

Its all about preference. If there was a "best" sensitivity, you wouldnt have a choice. Plus, the default is 5 because its easiest for everyone to use and start from, then as you progress you can experiment.

What the?! The default was 3 on my system! Maybe it has to do with changes in the Halo releases over time. When did you get yours, mjolnirV? I got mine a week after Xbox launch and the default sensitivity was 3.

I play on 4 mostly - and still kick ass, mind you - but if you're more close-combat offensive type, go for 8 or 10. snipers (like me) will find 5 and under suitable.

I have 9 or 10, and I am just as accurate at them as I am with the lower settings which, I might add, is very accurate. I like the fast settings because they let me turn quickly if someone is approaching from behind..
Like most things with control setups, it's a matter of preference, which is why you can change your speed and style.

Whatever the default is works well for me. I've used it since the first day Halo came out but I'm sure that using 10 then going down helps your aiming out a lot.
