A have read alot of peoples ideas for Halo 2, and lots of them are really good ideas. Now I dont know if bungie can make any changes this late (but they probly can), so post here any ideas you think should be added into Halo 2.

I think they should let you change your color for single, like use any color that you use in multi in campaign

Unfortunately, I don't think this forum is mature enough as a whole for the kind of "10 threads in 1" thing you're trying to do here. Maybe if the moderators were more attentive, but still, you've got to go to the HBO forums if you want this kind of organization.

I have some good ideas, but they're all really long and I would rather post them in my own thread. If this one becomes popular I might put my stuff in here.

♠The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's friend's enemy♠

What if on XBL your voice would be a lower pitch if you were an Elite? Or if you were a Grunt your voice pitch would be alot higher? Adding to the effect of fighting the Covenant.

Allow the player to detach the Warthog guns and Shade turret guns from their mounts in single player and carry them around. If you've read the books, you know the Chief is strong enough for this. Also, these weapons would be unreloadble, starting out with full magazines but running dry unless you reconnect to theit respective vechile/turret.

Thermal vision to replace the flashlight. Seriously, it's the year 2552 and they can't even afford to mount anything better than a flashlight on their most advanced body armor?

Covies would show up as dark spots with a few very hot dots indicating their plasma weaponry, and humans would show up as hot targets. Vehicles would have very hot emissions but their hulls would be relatively cool. This vision mode would also make it easy to see in the dark, but it would be more difficult to navigate with than the flashlight, and it would not pick up Flood unless they are carrying hot weapons like the plasma guns or the flamethrower. This would also be useful in multiplayer for picking out snipers, if my other idea of eliminating the sniper rifle bullet's contrail is implemented.

You know how bungie can take third person shots of the action in Halo 2, well what if we could take screenshots say after pressing start you are given the option to go outside the MC and take a pic of what you were doing. The pic would be stored on the HD for later viewing. What do you think?

Varying power in the melee attacks depending on what weapon you're using. For example, hitting someone over the head with a rocket launcher or cutting them in half with the Brute's gunblade would do more damage than simply pistol-whipping them.

Submerged combat, or fighting underwater. It would be awesome (and make good use of the aforementioned thermal vision) to have certain multiplayer maps where much of the fighting goes on underwater. Maybe a coolant facility for a fusion reactor. Think of it - in the Fall of Reach, the Spartans were defending the reactors the powered the magnetic acceleration cannon. This would be a perfect scenario for the objective-based human vs. Covie multiplayer mode we all want! Combine this with the on-the-run texture modification system I suggested in another thread, and you'd see players running around leaving coolant footprints everywhere and dripping as they went. I think it would be awesome.

A limited command system. Not one that enables you to talk to the Marines over radio, but to ask them to do simple tasks when you walk up to them and press the action button. Say there's a Marine holding a particular gun you want. So you walk up to him, open the command menu with the action button, and say "let's trade guns." Other possible commands could be "escort VIP," "defend this position," "follow me," or "get off my tank."

It beats pistol-whipping them in the back of the head when you see something you like.

i'd like a covie sniper rifle! and only the veteran elites would hold one, so you wouldn't get plastered by 4 sniper shots and die instanly...think about it! high powered plasma bullets, and no reloads! and probably no overburning! that would be the best sniper rifle experience ever!

I think the Covie sniper rifle should be electricity-based. That is, it's almost like being God, striking folks down with lightning bolts from afar. Basically, it uses power cores like other Covie weapons, 100% charge, and each shot takes 10%. It can be fired as fast as the pistol (though not fully automatically), but will overheat after 3 consecutive shots. It takes 1 shot to disable the player's HUD and shields, no matter how strong they are. The 2nd shot will usually kill him, but in multiplayer it will just bring him down to 1 health. That's what the 3rd shot is for. Also, in campaign mode the bolt will continue after hitting the first target and pass through every other Covie near the guy you just hit, doing less and less damge to each Covie until it dissapates. As mentioned before, it messes with electronics, more than just HUDs. It will short out plasma swords and detonate plasma grenades if you shoot someone who's about to toss a plasma nade.

I think that it would be cool to change the weather for the outside levels, like in madden or something. Think about playing bloodgulch in the rain or sidewinder in the snow. I guess a lot like some of the levels in ghost recon.

Anyone here played Perfect Dark? You know how customizable the multiplayer is in that game? Well, imagine Halo like that. It would be fan -blam!- tastic. There're so many options I'm not even going to try to list them.

Flashbacks in campaign mode. Maybe the Chief gets knocked under for a bit? While he's seeing stars maybe you could play out some of his past - like the training run in which he swatted away the missile with Cortana's help. I know it doesn't fit that well with Halo, but it would be awesome to see some more of the Chief's past, maybe even for just a portion of a leve.
