Yes. Second UNSC remark.
In no way does that quote indicate that the fuel rod gun does not actually fire fuel rods.

No, it indicates how it got its name. Logic indicates that it is not fuel rods because they look nothing alike.

A logical conclusion is not proof of anything.

Fuel rod gun shots are green, uranium is silver. Therefor they are not the same.

Probably Plutonium. Or some retarded element that only The Covenant has discovered.
Retardium.

I think you missed my first post. It's a video game. Everything was designed by artists. And it's in the science fiction genre to boot. They could have made the sun blue if they wanted to. You have yet to prove anything. Until you do, I'll stick with what the actual name of the weapon says.

By that logic it could be shooting kittens, your point is invalid.

Is the name of the weapon "kitten gun?" No. My point is completely valid.

Does the DRM shoot designated marksmen?

Does the DRM shoot designated marksmen?

That's who I like to shoot with it...

I'd like to posit the idea that the fuel rod gun shoots depleted or partially-depleted blammite.

I would just like to quickly point out that while the name says Fuel Rod Gun, it at no point mentions the use of Uranium, Plutonium, nor a resemblance to either of those two elements specifically.

Considering you two are arguing over something that it doesn't even say.

I never said that any specific material was used by the weapon. I guessed that an artist might have thought of uranium and the way most people typically imagine its appearance. The point of this little debate is his claim that the fuel rod gun does not fire fuel rods, which he has no proof for.

I'll bet it is
ununununsspeuumttium

The newest element with over 9000 molecules!

It's Ununpentium, and it does not glow green. it is a superheavy metal with the atomic number 115 and a nasty tendency to spark electricity when there is seemingly no charge present.
EDIT: and molecules are made up of atoms. atoms are made up of Protons, Neutrons, and Electrons. and Protons, Neutrons, are in turn made up of even smaller particles called Quarks. Electrons are a part of a class of sub-atomic particles called Leptons. you my friend are grossly miss informed.
